Chapter 6

I swear one day imma look back at this and wonder why I wrote this. My story isn't even good. I find it cringy 🤧

Y/n POV
Continued to give Eren his daily training. I was a bit distracted from what happened a few moments ago. I'm not sure if Eren noticed, but he was giving me a weird look.

"Hey are you ok or are you just going easy on me?" Snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Huh oh..uh sorry just thinking about things I guess" he hummed and we continued sparring.

I noticed I'm feeling a bit more tired than usually. It was close to night time, by this time I'm at my most awake. I believe the serums were Hange's first batch. Meaning there could be side effects. Could this be one? I have to report to Hange

"Sorry Eren I'm going to cut this short. I'm feeling a bit sick" he nodded and walked off to probably see Mikasa or Armin.

Making my way through the place. I was taking mental notes of the side effects of the serum. There wasn't much that seem to effect me. Other than drowsiness, my body feeling cold. I wonder how much more it would have effected me if I were a normal human.

I made it to Hange's lab and knocked on the door. "Come it" I walked in to see Hange scribbling something down.

"Hey I wanted to report some side effects I'm experiencing from your serum" she looked up at me and put her pen down. "Do tell"

"Mmm I feel slightly drowsy, and I'm feeling colder" she walked up to me and touched my hand. She gasped and let my hand go.

"Y/n YOUR ICE COLD" she grabbed a candle and put it by my hands. "Could you not feel how cold you are?"

What? I don't feel that cold. I only feel a bit cold Like there's a cold breeze. "Sorry Hange but I'm not that cold" she looked a bit worried to say the least. "Maybe it's another side effect? Like you have some sort of numbness"

If I was really cold as ice surely I must of die of frostbite within minutes. I'm sure Hange knows that's a red flag. I wonder how long the effects will last. It's been a few hours since it last wore off.

"Most of my other serums side effects last 3 hours at most. Though the other ones have been almost harmless. Such as drowsiness, or restlessness." I decided to stay in the dorms since I don't exactly have strength to train. "Considering how icy cold your hand I'm concerned for your health. Take this candle and when you get back try to keep warm. Also don't make contact with anyone." I nodded and left the room

I carefully walked through the halls and to the girls dorm. I made sure that I didn't run into anyone. I laid down in my bed and try to get warm. It was awfully hot but I knew that my skin was dead cold. I tried to rest to past some time.

I jolted as I heard the door slam open. "Cadet y/n what are you doing in bed?" Well if it isn't captain Levi. "Your supposed to be out there training" I heard footsteps approaching and I felt the blankets fly off me. Levi grabbed my arm then quickly let go.

"Your cold as ice cadet" he furrowed his eyebrows and looked at me for an answer. "It's a side effect from Hange's truth serum" he sighed heavily. "How long is it going to last?" Picking up the blanket. "Hange said 3 hours. I believe it's been an 1 so 2 more hours." He looked at you skeptically.

"Cadet how exactly are you still alive?" I froze up not being able to think of an answer. "The blankets helped me regulate my temperature" hoping he would believe that. "Mmm...Anyways we need to move you somewhere warmer. Follow me" he started walking off. I quickly followed him.

He walked into a room and as soon as I walked in I saw a fireplace. I sat down in one of the chairs. I watched as he lite the fire. I sat as close as I could. He walked over to me and touched my hand. "Your not as cold as before, do you feel any warmer?"

Warmer he says. Oh I feel warm. I feel like I'm in an oven and it's about to be done pre-heating.

"Yup I feel so great" he nodded and sat down in the other chair. "Aren't you supposed to be in training right now?" He just stayed silent. "You better get back to them before they slack off"

"I'm sure they will be fine" he continued staring at the fireplace. "I sure there having a lot of fun without there superior there" I chuckled. I'm pretty sure there goofing off right now.

I watched as the fireplace crackled. I had a habit of admiring things. How they moved, the colors, and the sounds. I looked over to Levi and saw him staring at me.

"Need something Corporal?" Wonder what is on his mind right now. "Did you mean everything that you said back there?" Oh yea I forgot I said all that sappy stuff.

"Well I was on a truth serum is I'm pretty sure yes" I sighed as he stayed quiet. "I think you should get back. It wouldn't be right if a superior abandoned his training"

He left the room without another word. My eyes landed back on the fireplace. Man it was getting unbearable hot in here. I'm not sure what time the effects will wear off. I can't even tell how cold my skin is.

I'll just wait till Hange or Levi come back. I saw that the room had a couch in it. I stood up and walked over there. I laid down and curled in the blanket. If I sleep I'm sure it will pass some time right? The problem was it was hot and I prefer to sleep in the cold. After laying there for what felt like hours I finally got tired.
