"the girl of your dreams, hey." she grinned cheekily up at me, my hands were still cupped around her cheeks and her hands were placed on top of them. "the girl of my dreams." i affirmed, nodding my head as her infectious smile captivated my own.

"okay, if you catch me, i kiss you. if i out run you, you kiss me." she was bold, i'll give her that, this "relationship" what ever you would call the last hour, was moving extremely fast, faster then the speed of light. time is a man made construct, right?

"okay."

"run." i whispered into the air and removed my hands from her face- pushing her in the direction of the illuminated trees. she laughed melodically, as she ran away from me, watching her footing and me behind her. i counted to three slowly letting the girl who was smaller than myself get a head start.

"you won't catch me." she shouted arrogantly towards me.

"oh i will darling." i snipped back, before removing my own coat and stepping into a run after her. my height gave me a rather large advantage as i caught up with her quite quickly, noticing my distance behind her, she let out a childish squeal and tried to dart away from me. but she was too late.

i caught her from behind, my arms situated around her waist, lifting her up in the air, her laugh disrupted the peaceful air, breaking its course of flow. she attempted multiple times to wriggle out of my grasp, before i carried her over to a tree that was wrapped elegantly in fairy lights from the root to the branches.

i pushed her up slightly against the tree as i set her down, she was now facing me.

"what did you say before i caught you, love?" it was cheeky, i know, as two adults in their late thirties we were being extremely childish.

she leaned towards my face slightly, i could feel her warm breath nipping at my chin; it was fairly cold- only the start of spring time, but cold nonetheless.

"that i would kiss you." she whispered into the air.

"are you okay with me kissing you, tom?"

i nodded gently at her question.

"tell me it's okay to kiss you." her voice was quiet, our foreheads were pressed together, her hands on my shoulders, my hands at her sides.

"you can kiss me libby."
