I watched as Derek and Stiles chained Liam's hands to the seat of the van, but I have a small feeling that he will be able to break out of that. He's stronger than most, and they know it too. Those handcuffs honestly won't stand a chance.

"All good?" Derek asked him, and Liam tried to bring his hands up but had no so such luck.

"Okay. I brought something to help you." I watched as Derek pulled the tacky triskelion out of his pocket. "This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful supernatural talisman." He said, and Stiles and I look at him like he's crazy because we both knew that he was full of it right now.

"We use it to teach Betas how to control themselves on a full moon." He handed it to him, and I knew that this wasn't going to work.

Derek then looked at the two of us to back him up on this, and we shook our heads.

Stiles cleared his throat. "Yes, it's powerful. Very powerful." He said, and I held back a laugh.

"That talisman can help you tonight. Casey can't always be there to help you, and you need to learn how to get control without her." He said, and I yelped when he forced me into the seat next to them.

"By the way, where is your dad?" Derek asked me, and I shrugged.

"I don't know. All he said was not to worry about him and that he'd see me soon. And to bring these." I said, going into my bag and taking out a box. I open it and show him the bullets he wanted me to bring.

"Wolfsbane bullets? Why?" Stiles asked me as I take out the gun my aunt gave me for my thirteenth birthday.

"Why else?" I said, loading them into the gun carefully, and I slap Stiles's hand away when he tried to touch it. "Don't touch. You might set it off."

"Isn't the safety on?" He asked me.

"Oh, it is. I just don't trust you." I tell him, and I put the gun in its holster, strapping on my daggers and putting my glove on.

"Wow. You are really going full-on hunter here." He said in shock.

"Auntie Kate's also a hunter. She knows how we think. That gives her a slight advantage." I said, and I put on my quiver after checking for the flashbolt arrows.

"What are those?" Liam points to the flashbolt.

"They're flashbolt arrows. They can temporarily blind a werewolf." I tell him, and he nodded.

"So don't touch them. Got it." He said nervously, and I look down at my phone, waiting for a call from my dad.

Where are you, Dad?

-

"Liam, you with me?" Derek asked him, and I noticed how much he was sweating, struggling to keep calm and in control. I wanted to help him, but I decided to let Derek try, at least. "We have a mantra that we use. You repeat it, you focus on the words. It's like meditating. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you."

"Okay. Okay, okay! What are the words?" He asked him, his voice straining.

"Okay, look at the triskelion. See the symbol? I have a tattoo on my back, it's the same thing. Each spiral means something." He told him.

"Alpha, beta, omega." My brother suddenly said.

"It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another. Betas can become alphas."

"Alphas can become betas." I chimed in.

"Can alphas become omegas?" He asked Derek, and he nodded.
