"It was the first kiss since our actual first kiss," Scott told Stiles and me about how he gave Kira a chaste kiss before he went off to Econ.
Right now, we were in the locker room since the boys had to get changed for tryouts. I had already done that but in the girls' locker room. The boys want me to stay in here because Coach had some words he wanted to say before tryouts even began.
"That's good. You kissed her." Stiles told him.
"I did." He said. "But I didn't."
"Was... Was it on the lips?" Stiles asked him a question that had the most obvious answer to it in the world.
"Was there tongue?" Stiles suddenly asked, and I looked at him like he was an idiot.
Oh wait, he is!
"No. I... It was like how you kiss your grandmother when you're five." He said.
"So it was a chaste kiss." I piped up. Scott nodded at me, practically saying that I was right without any words.
"Yeah, and now it's... It's all weird." He said. "It's all completely weird and, I... I don't know what to do. Maybe I should text her."
"Yeah." He confirmed.
"No." Stiles stopped him before he could even get his phone out to text Kira. "Just no with the texts." I nodded in agreement at what Stiles said, and that's when Coach came out, blowing his whistle with a clipboard in hand.
"As a reminder, it's an open tryout today. All positions available." Coach told us. "This is a rebuilding season, people. Jackson's gone, Lahey's gone. Greenberg, the one guy I actually wanted gone... Was held back. Again. Argent!" Coach motioned me forward, and I went over to him.
"Yes, Coach?" I ask him, wondering what I did wrong.
"I hope I see good things from you today, and if you need any time off, then come and talk to me. I know it's been a rough year for you." He told me, and I smiled.
"Um, thanks, Coach. Really. But I think I'll be fine." I said to him, and he nodded.
"Okay. Asses on the field!" He yelled, making me jump, and everyone began to file out.
-
"Terrible. Horrifying. Pathetic. Unbelievably pathetic." Coach said as most of us ran by. It felt amazing to feel the wind whipping in my face and through my hair. It was almost calming me to in a sense.
"Is that everyone?" Coach asked, and then he saw Stiles come by panting like he was just running a marathon or something, and then he collapsed. "Yep, that's everyone."
Scott and I quickly went to his side and helped him up from the ground.
"Who came in first?" Stiles asked us.
"Oh, that was me, and..." I motioned my head towards blue eyes. Well, Liam.
"He isn't human. What is he? Like a Were-Cheetah? Does it even exist? Is that a thing?" Stiles panted out, and I laughed at him, not being able to take him seriously while he was like this.
"I think he's just that good." I commented, trying to control my laughter.
"I'm gonna puke, take me somewhere." He told us.
"Okay, come on." We quickly took Stiles away from the field like he had asked before he spilled his guts everywhere.
-
I giggled as Stiles tried to get the ball in the net, but he failed at every attempt and ended up just grabbing it and sticking it in.
He turns around to face me. "Shut up."
