"Casey, wake up! It's time for school!" I heard Stiles yell from downstairs. I got up from my bed and took off my covers before walking over to my closet to find an outfit for today.
Stiles helped me unpack last week after we got home, and today is my first day back at school, which I am totally dreading.
I didn't want people giving me looks of pity just because my sister died. I didn't want them to act like I was fragile and on the verge of breaking if someone mentioned her name. But I was excited to see Jocelyn. We've kept in touch since I left, and she knew I got back last week but we didn't get the chance to see each other because of what took place and I was busy unpacking.
I put on my clothes before sitting down, tying the new booties that I got in France then getting up to go to my vanity and I start brushing through my hair, leaving it down like I always do.
I start on my makeup, going for a more natural look that made my honey brown eyes pop, using some eyeliner and mascara, then put on some strawberry-flavored tinted chapstick. I grabbed my favorite rose vanilla perfume and spritzed some on me.
When I was done getting ready I grabbed my stuff and walked out.
"Finally! You were taking forever!" Stiles exasperated when he saw me. "You got your gear?"
"Stop being so dramatic, Stiles. And of course. I plan on making first line this year." I said, walking past him.
"Don't you want to eat something quick before we go?" He asked me and I shook my head.
"Not really," I said. "Can we go now?"
"Look, Casey, if you need someone to talk to just know that we're all here for you and that we care about you." He told me and I nodded.
"Okay. But I'm fine, Stiles. Can we just go now before we're late to tryouts this morning?" I asked him, trying to get off of this conversation.
"Casey-"
"Stiles, just drop it!" I finally snapped at him. When I saw his face guilt began to consume me. "I'm sorry, Stiles. I didn't mean to snap at you."
"No, it's okay. I badgered you when you told me to stop." He said.
"Let's just go." I said, and he nodded. We both walked out of the house and got into his Jeep to get to school.

"Of course you're still the team captain. You got your grades up just like Coach told you to, right?" Stiles asked him as the three of us walked out onto the field for morning lacrosse tryouts.
"Yeah, but he never told me I was back on the team. He just told me to show up at tryouts today." Scott told him.
"We got bigger things to deal with. Did you tell Argent yet?" Stiles asked him, referring to the whole Aunt Kate ordeal.
"Ah!" He said. "I texted him but he didn't get back to me."
We both then look at Scott like he had three heads when he told us that.
"You told my dad that my Auntie Kate, his sister, came back from the dead over a text?" I summed up and he nodded.
"I didn't have the money to call France." He defended himself and we just nodded.
"Yeah, you think you got money problems? Try paying for an MRI and a visit to Eichen House." Stiles said.
Stiles told me that he saw a second notice from Eichen about the money on his father's desk at the station, and he's been worried about it all. I tried to tell him that everything will be all right, but Stiles being Stiles, he didn't really listen to me.
