A Dodger jacket hung delicately in Mariposa's closet, she stared at the jacket and it wasn't the dull, dusty brown color when Sanguk gave her the jacket. She could have sent it to the dry cleaners to get it cleaned and sewed up but it wouldn't be the same. She spent five nights soaking, hand scrubbing, and cleaning the jacket until it restored its color. The maids offered assistance, but Mariposa refused because she wanted to do it herself. They gave her some tools to help clean and gave her some advice.

It really surprised Mariposa when she soaked the jacket because the jacket was so dirty that whoever owned the jacket before him had to be a heavy smoker because the cigarette smell seeped out of the jacket, making the laundry room unbearable to be in. Then, she had sewn the pockets, the sleeves, and collar, then after she sewed his initials in the jacket just for fun.

Mariposa looked at her hard work and she smiled as she took the jacket off the hangar. She neatly folded the jacket and she tucked it in her bag. She exhales as she looks at her watch; it was twelve after and she still had enough time to go see Sanguk before her parents expected her back home before her aunts and cousins come over.

Walking down the stairs, she walked quietly to know to erupt her parents because she may be grown but her parents always wanted to know where she was headed because she was always out and about alone, they didn't want her out alone because of the many recent incidents that happened and they think that Charles Mansson is going to travel all the way to Pittsburg to snatch her up and kill her. He was in jail and he didn't like black people anyway so she wasn't worried.

Mariposa walks out of her house and she fixes her baby tee and her jeans. Mariposa decided to tone it down since she was going to Sanguk's part of town. He was worried because she had so much jewelry that she probably would get mugged or something. She wore a simple pink baby tee, some old baggy jeans that her mom used to wear before she wore skirts and dresses. She wore some keds and she had her hair down this time.

Taking the same directions when she ran off, she found herself in front of the corner store she went into. She licks her lips and she exhales before she walks in. She walked around, she grabbed a cola and this time she got some beef jerky. She gets to the register and she sees the same man who was here last week.

The older man looks up from his book through his glasses at Mariposa and he leans forward slightly. "Oh, you're back," He says and he closes his book and he examines what she got, he adds up the total and he tells her the total. Mariposa takes out five dollars and he opens the register. "Keep the change and.. I have a question," Mariposa says quickly and the man nodded his head quickly. Mariposa gives a half-smile, she clears her throat. "Do you know anyone by the name of Lee Sanguk? He's average height, shaved head, he has skin tone similar to yours almost and he has these round, big brown eyes. I can't really describe the rest but he's very handsome," Mariposa mumbled and she could describe him perfectly well, she just didn't want to be weird.

The man quickly shook his head, his eyes diverted away from her and he began to quickly bag her things. "Here are your things," He says with a quick smile and before Mariposa could stop him, he left out the back of the store.

Mariposa exhaled and she looked around for a moment, she decided to leave and she carried her way down the sidewalk. "Well, that was a waste," Mariposa mumbled to herself as she took her cola out of her bag then she walked over to a window with a brick ledge, she hit the bottle against the edge and the metal top popped off onto the ground. Mariposa quickly picks up the top and she stuffs it in his pocket.

The young woman looked around the community, she sees a group of guys come walking down the sidewalk and she honestly wasn't discouraged, a group of guys never scared her.
