Warm blankets and freshly made tea were the simple pleasures to Mariposa. Especially the special herbs from Cuba and the smell of the cocoa and vanilla that burned in the simmer pit downstairs. Mariposa lay in her bed as Cola laid under her, it had been a couple of days since she was away and he had been meowing non-stop and rubbing his face against her cheek when he could. Mariposa rubbed him as he laid with her.

Her mother just washed her hair and added some moisturizer and oils to soothe her dry scalp and the maids did a fresh facial to treat her dry skin from the hospital's cold air.

Mariposa was so happy to be home and her parents were just as relieved and happy as well. The maids all tidied up Mariposa's room which didn't need much cleaning but they left gift baskets with all of Mariposa's favorite candy they used to give her as a child, some candies imported from Cuba and Mexico.

A knock came from her door and Mariposa raised up slightly, "Come in," Mariposa announced and the door opened. A tall woman, with long dark hair that was done in a braid that went down her back. She had tan skin, freckled and she wore a white coat and also carried a suitcase.

It was Mariposa's doctor, Dr. Santos.

Dr. Santos was am experienced doctor and so far had been doing well with giving Mariposa the proper medication for her soreness, swelling, and bruising. Also had been talking to Mariposa through this process of what happened to her.

Dr. Santos smiled and she sat her suitcase down, "How are you this afternoon?" Dr. Santos asked and Mariposa looked at Cola, "I'm better, Cola's cuddles really help," Mariposa smiled gently and Dr. Santos looked at the black cat who practically latched at Mariposa's side. "What a good boy he is," Dr. Santos chuckled and Dr. Santos opened her suitcase, "I'm going to check all your vitals and also check the swelling in your abdomen area. Let me go sanitize," Dr. Santos said and Mariposa nodded.

Mariposa sat up and Cola raised, he laid against her lap as she fixed her gown that hung loosely on her.

Dr. Santos came back and she sat in front of Mariposa as she checked her vitals along with her bruising along with changing bandages. "Everything seems good, you're healing a lot faster than I expected. You have been taking your medication I see also--" The bedroom door opened and Sanguk backed in slowly with a bowl of soup, Dr. Santos smiled as she watched Sanguk patiently walk in and be careful not to waste anything.

"Posa... I brought more soup, and did you take your--" Sanguk froze at the sight of Dr. Santos and Mariposa staring at him.

Sanguk sat the soup aside on Mariposa's desk, he bowed his head a little, "Sorry, hi, I can go," Sanguk mumbled and Dr. Santos chuckled and motioned for Sanguk to sit down, "No, it's okay. I'm about to leave in a second," Dr. Santos assured him and Sanguk sat down at the desk, Dr Santos faced Mariposa, and she smiled, "I see why you're healing so fast, you have a very persistent boyfriend," Dr. Santos teased and Mariposa let out a small laugh.

Sanguk had been the one who had been consistently caring for Mariposa, it got to the point that her parents stepped back a little because they knew Sanguk got her. They of course still came around but Sanguk was always there. Joey and Bogum also would come by and bring food remedies that help with Mariposa's sudden fatigue and lack of appetite. Also to entertain Mariposa whenever Sanguk or her parents had to work.

Joey with his romance books and Bogum would talk Mariposa's head off until she fell asleep.

"Yeah, he's the best," Mariposa smiled.

Sanguk smiled sweetly as he rested his arm on the desk chair as he stared at Mariposa, he honestly loved caring for her and if could be his full-time job he would do it. Free of charge. He just loved that she was comfortable and happy, that was the life she deserved anyway.
