The sound of metal on flesh filled every corner of the cell. It didnt matter how loud the little girl screamed, it didn't drown out the noise. The whimpers and grunts coming just beyond the wall seemed to drill down to the very core of her being. Then it stopped. The silence was worse, becasue she knew it meant death. Her mother was dead.
Every bone seemed to ache, her head span trying to process the thought hot tears burnt her cheeks as she sat there, still, frozen in time wanting nothing more than to be swallowed by the concrete.

The room was dark, eerie shadows rested in the corners of the bedroom. You closed your eyes again, but the noises bounced around your head even awake. You sat up with a shaky sigh, glancing beside you where Steve was sleeping, his face calm and peaceful. At least one of you was dreaming sunshine and rainbows. You gently untangled yourself from his hold and crept along the floor, opening the door quietly. You paused by Peggy's room. It was hard to believe she was nearly six. She'd grown so fast. The older she'd got the more she looked like Steve. The thought made you smile, a pause from the ever growing unease from the nightmare.
The kitchen lit up with the bright electronic lights. A soft bark of your dog made you crouch down to fuss his head. "Couldn't sleep either eh?" You mumbled standing again and getting a glass of water. The cool liquid calmed your nerves a little. You hadnt thought about that night in a while. You wondered why the sudden appearance.
You turned off the light, deciding to go back and lie with Steve for a few hours. As you went to leave a bluish light filled the room. You frowned walking briskly to the window, the glass left your hand shattering on the floor.
You didnt think as you ran, bursting into Peggy's room and pulling your sleeping daughter up and under the bed, her pressed firmly beneath you.
"Mommy?" She mumbled.
"I'm here sweetheart." You whispered as the sound of metal hitting your house sent a loud piercing wail to your ears, and rubble fell around you.

Tony shot upright. His eyes blinded in the sudden light. He ran to the window, looking out as the ship crashed into your house. "Y/n." He muttered, leaving a confused Pepper slowly waking in their room as he called his suit, running across to the flames.
"Y/N!" He screamed, peering down on the rubble.
"Tony?" Steve coughed, lifting a roof tile from his leg. He stood limping a little, looking mostly dazed and unhurt. His eyes flashed in fear as he began calling Peggy's name. The two men searched through the rubble, panic pulling at their heads as the odds looked more and more slim.
"HERE!" Steve yelled as he dived down into the mess of stone and glass, ignoring the rips and cuts of his own skin as he threw rocks behind him trying to clear a path.
Tony began doing the same, his suit allowing his greater depth than the injured super soilder. The cracked bed frame seemed to have kept most of the damage off you, Peggy was squirming under your limp form. "Daddy." She whispered. Tony tore the bed away stepping from his suit before pulling you onto his lap, his hands shakily checked your pulse finding it and letting a sigh of relief fall from his lips. Steve pulled Peggy tightly to his chest. "Is she okay?" She whispered. Tony nodded.
"Are you hurt?" Tony said frowning at his granddaughter as he saw blood on the side of her head.
"A little. I think I'm okay." she said truthfully. Tony glanced at Steve who was staring into the distance.
"Steve! Check your daughter." Tony snapped.
"Tony I need you to take them both to yours. Get Pepper and Morgan and get away quickly. Contact Bucky if you can, or whoever's closest. I'm going to need backup." Tony frowned standing, stepping back in his suit as he followed steves gaze. Whatever was in the ship was coming out. It didnt look friendly.
"Friday, contact the nearest avenger, tell them what's happened." Tony said taking both you and Peggy in his arms. "I'll be back Rogers." He said before leaving the smouldering rubble.
