Sheilded (Steve x reader)

The city was burning. You sucked in a breath, your hand falling subconsciously on your stomach. Clint groaned not sure what to do about the situation. "Be careful team, and keep in touch." Steve said before running off in one direction. Grumbling Tony went the other way. You felt the guns in your hands feeling the calming metal of them.

You ran forward ducking behind a car. You saw a flash as Pietro ran past. You stood up taking several shots over the bonnet of the car. Each one a hit. A loud white noise cut you from your killing streak. You dropped the gun dropping to your knees. You let out a scream. You saw Bucky and Steve fall too. Followed by Wanda and Pietro. It seemed only the enchanced or those with the super serum were effected.

A hand went over your mouth, you went to resist, before realising it was Clint. He dragged you away and hid down an alley way with you. His hand muffling your screams.

It took about ten minutes for the noise to stop. Clint moved his hand, "Are you okay?" He asked woriedly. You nodded. You felt sick.

"Why did you do that?" You asked standing with the help of the wall. Clint gulped.

"They took the others effected by the noise." He said it quietly, but the words echoed around your brain.

"Steve." You mumbled. You ran out onto the streets, but everyone was gone. Tony saw you and ran to you.

"Baby! I thought they'd taken you." He said hugging you.

"Clint saved me." You breathed. "They took Steve." You cried. Tony didnt know what to say. You pulled away from his hold, you turned round and the remains of the soldiers that had died. Steve. Thats all you could think off.

"Y/N?" Tony said woriedly. "For Gods sake don't do anything stupid." You turned to face him, your eyes meeting his. You gave a small smile.

"I love you dad, but I'm not going to let them hurt Steve the way they hurt me." He went to step forward, but your shock waves blasted out before he could reach you. You turned away. "Jarvis, send me my suit." You muttered. It appeared within seconds. You climbed and flew back to the tower.

"Okay Jarvis help me here, that white noise, I need something to stop it from affecting me." You said standing at your dad desk.

"The white noise, is similar to your own waves, Tony developed tech in his suit to stop your shockwaves from affecting him. He also made war plugs for Nat and Clint. They are finished in the cabinet behind you." You turned and took out the one pair.

"Why did he make these?" You said trying to mask the hurt in your voice.

"In case you needed to wipe out some of the enemy and they were in the proximity." You relaxed.

"Will these work? Against the white noise?" You said enclosing them in your fist.

"Enough for you to function. Although it should still hurt." You nodded.

"Good enough for me. Thanks Jarvis." You stepped back in your suit and left before your dad could wake up and come back for you. "Jarvis cut off the tracker in my suit, and dont let dad turn it on."

"Are you sure miss?"

"Yes." You answered harshly. You heard a beep, as it disconnected. You flew silently, your mind wondering to the small thing growing in your stomach. "Forgive me Steve." You landed by the outskirts to the base. You stepped from your suit and walked to the gates. Guns were pointed at you within seconds.

You held up your hands dropping your guns. "I wanna speak to your leader." You said calmly, your voice sounded strong despite the fear in your head. Someone grapped your hand tying them behind your back.

You were dragged into a room and tied to a chair. You waited in silence, thinking of Steve. This is why your doing this, you reminded yourself.

Steve was sat across the room from Bucky, and the twins. His hand were hurting from the restraints. The door opened a small TV was rolled in. The guard switched it on. "Your gonna wanna see this." He said with a smirk. Steve glanced at the screen.

A half scream left his lips when he saw you tied up on the chair. A man walked into the room, you looked up with a soft sigh. "Miss Barnes."

"Its Stark." You snapped. The man raised his eyes but nodded.

"Fine Miss Stark," he say down opersite you. Steve bit his lip hard. "Why did you come here, you escapes for some reason and then turn up on our doorstep."

"I'm immune to your white noise, my dad operated on me." You said with as much confidence as you could muster. Steve frowned, you were lying but what if they tested it?

"Lets see then." The noise rang out over the speaker in the room. You didnt even flinch. "Interesting." The noise stopped. Steve didn't know how you'd done it, but he was proud regardless. "So why come here?" The man asked.

You sighed. "I have an offer for you." You said coldly. "I'm the most powerful enchanced you could get. I get stronger every day, with your training I could do so much more than I can now." Steve pulled on the chains calling your name, but he knew you couldnt hear him.

"I'm listening." He said calmly.

"I'll do whatever you want, but you let them all go." Steve screamed for you. Bucky was swearing at the TV.

"How do I know you'll keep that promise?" You gulped.

"Because I know your more powerful and you can take them back if you wanted. Leave them alone and I'll do your bidding. Whatever you want." He smirked.

"Fine." He muttered. He pulled you up harshly. He dragged you outside, tieing you against a fence. A gun was out against your head. Steve, Bucky, Wanda and Pietro were brought out. Steve tried to run to you but stopped when the gun was cocked.

"Y/N! I'll come and get you i promise." He shouted. You shook your head.

"No Steve, you cant ever come back here. Promise me." He shook his head. "Promise me before I make them pull the trigger." He gulped at your tone knowing you were serious. He nodded numbly. "Talk to Clint! Tell him I said to tell you my secret. And I'm sorry Steve, I hope you'll forgive me." He frowned but was ushered away before he could say anything else.
