You'd come running when you'd heard Steve shouting Bucky's name. His room was empty, completely bare. Doing quick sweep of the room while your near hysterical boyfriend panicked beside you, you spotted a letter.

Sweeping it up, you saw it was addressed to you. Sitting on the bed, you opened the hurriedly written note. Steve sat beside you.

Dear Y/N/N,
Do you remember that time, before your mom was taken and we had that picnic on the roof? Well that day you asked me if we were the bad guys, and I was unable to answer. However your mom had the perfect answer, and its one I'm determined to live by. She said 'there is no good and bad, only justified actions. People do what's right for the people they love, and this is right for us.' I hope you understand, I'm not leaving you again in the way I did before. This is my chance to prove that i do care and that I love you. I can take down this threat because they believe I'm one of them. But I think to do that I have to destroy myself. And now, after seeing you and Tony, Steve and Nat. I know you have a family already. Tony is a great father to you, and you'll be happy I know. As for me, I'll die knowing your safe and happy, and I'll be reunited with your mother. I hope she'll forgive me for what I did to you as I hope you will. I want you to know that I really regret what I did, i wasn't right in the head i know that now. I was selfish and I promise you from now on I'll always put you first. If I don't make it back to you, know I'm always in your heart. I'm in your blood, and I'm in your head. I always will be watching over you, giving you support when you need it, and reminding you your never alone. This is me trying to make it up to you, I hope it's enough.

You hadn't realised you were crying until you saw the tears hit the paper. Something else fell from the envelop. You opened the second paper.
As soon as you saw Steve's name you handed it to him.

Steve,
Take care of her. I know you love and her thats enough for me. Thank you for being my friend through it all.
I'm with you till the end of the line.
And my answer, regardless of what Tony's is, is Yes.

You wiped the tears away with the back of your hand. You stood up, with no intention of doing anything else. "We have to find him." You said your voice cracking horribly. "I have to apologise, I didnt...i want...I forgive him." You said breaking down all over again. Steve was quick to engulf you in his arms.

"Shush it's okay, I know you do. And he knows it too."
