After we were told by the captain that we passed the exam, we headed to the barracks to rest, it was hectic for the last couple of hours

"When do you think we will get there?" Gon asked the three of us as we sat down to rest

"Mmm...I don't know Gon, try asking the captain" I breathed out in exhaustion as I sat down 

"Alright then, I'll be right back guys" Gon said as he left the room to go to the captain

I looked over to Leorio who was already dead asleep, guess he was tired after all the shenanigans that happened

"Hey, what you did earlier was amazing" Kurapika started as I look over to him cleaning his sword

"So you're not mad at me?" I asked as he gave me a smile

"No I'm not you idiot not after what you did" He chuckled cutely making my face heat up a bit

"Hey I've been meaning to tell you this but uhhh..." I said trying to change the subject

"Is your clan able to turn their eyes red when they feel a strong emotion" I turned to ask him only to see his face with a surprised expression

"Uhhh...Kurapika, are you-"

"How do you know that?" he said in a stern voice as he clenched the swords he was cleaning

Oh shit, did I piss him off?

"Ah...It's because"

"Are you a spider?" He said as his voice started getting angrier

"What? No-" I said as I try to think of ways to calm him down

"Ah- I heard the story from one of my father's guards, He was an hunter before becoming a guard for my father" I explained in a panicked voice trying to get him to calm down

As I said those words he became calm then became confused. Might as well tell him what I am

"You see actually I'm a Fowler..." I utter out enough for Kurapika to hear

"Wait...you mean the family full of sorcerers?" He stated making sure he wasn't wrong as I nod and showed him a mark on my neck every Fowler family member should have

"Hmm...If you're a sorcerer, why become a hunter?" Kurapika asking becoming curious by the second

"It's because of the stories that I hear from him, it really made me want to be a hunter" I answered

"After hearing about the story of what happened to your clan I knew I want to be a hunter so that when I become one, I can make the rest of the Kurta clan rest in peace" I added making Kurapika shocked at my story

"Why are you doing all of this?" Kurapika asked in a low tone making me face him

"They didn't deserve to be massacred like that, I don't like the idea of violence so rather than doing that I'll just make the Kurta clan be remembered" As I said those words I felt arms grabbing my neck as if I have been given a hug

I later felt my right shoulder being damp from the tears that left Kurapika's eyes, I pushed him off of my chest lightly so I can take a look at him

"Thank you...I didn't know you'd do such a good thing for a clan that's almost extinct" Kurapika uttered out loud enough to make me hear it

"Well I wouldn't say your clan is extinct, you're right here living and breathing just fine" I said as I gave him a reassuring smile making him also smile as he wiped his tears

I could see his scarlet eyes being visible but it wasn't that obvious since he was wearing contact lenses, I pat his head to calm him down making him blush a bit

"Let me tell you something Kurapika, there are two ways a person can die" I stated making Kurapika a bit confused

"One is physically, where one's breathing stops or their organs die down and the second is when one stopped uttering their name or in other words they are forgotten" I added as Kurapika nodded implying that he understood what I said

"So technically your clan is still alive because you have precious memories of them kept in you" I reassure as Kurapika happily nodded

"I guess you're right about that" Kurapika smiled bitterly as fixed himself 

We both chuckled making the atmosphere around become light again

"The captain said we'll be arriving in about 4 hours" Gon said as he burst through the door making Leorio jump from his sleep

"I guess that's enough time to get some sleep" Kurapika stated as he positioned himself comfortably to fall asleep

"Ugh...I was sleeping soundly until Gon broke the door" Leorio said in irritation as we three chuckled at his grumpiness
