[SORRY FOR ANY ERRORS]

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
FEBRUARY 17th,1990

"You good?" Malik asks me as he turns his head to face me. He was currently at my house, spending some quality time with me. I didn't ask him to be here, he just appeared on my doorstep.

My dumbass just let him in.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just have a lot on my mind." I respond, as I pulled the blanket we were sharing up to my neck. We were on the couch watching reruns of a different world.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asks as he scoots his body closer to me.

"No."

"Never mind then, tired of this shit.." He mumbles, getting up from the couch abruptly.

"What's wrong with you?" I inquire, scrunching up my face in confusion.

"What's wrong with you?" He quickly asks, his tone of voice escalated as annoyance overtook his face.

"Why are you acting like that? If I don't wanna talk about somethin—"

"A'mya, just forget it." He interrupts, walking towards my kitchen.

"No! We aren't gonna forget it! Tired of this shit? What are you even talking about?" I exclaim, getting up from my seat on the couch and following him into the kitchen.

"A'mya.. just let it go." He says, beginning to open my fridge. Stepping in front of him, I slammed the fridge door quickly.

I could tell he was taken aback by me closing the fridge door as he took a slight step back.

"Im not gonna do this with you right now." He replied, walking off to my living room.

"Do what?" I question, confused as to what he meant.

"Do you even wanna be with me A'mya?" He asks, grabbing his coat that was on the couch.

"Are you leaving?" I ask, ignoring his question.

"Do you wanna be with me A'mya? I know you heard me the first time." He asks again, his eyes looking straight at me. I could tell he was fed up about something.

"Why are you asking me that?"

Sighing, "I just feel like you don't wanna be in this relationship. And if that's the case, I'm done wasting my time. So let me know what it is so I could stay or leave you alone." He replies, putting on his jacket.
