[SORRY FOR ANY ERRORS]
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
MARCH 9th,1990"I just think it's fucked up how Aaliyah and Caine ended." Ashley said to me as she clutched her Louis Vuitton bag. Her back rested against the locker close to mine as she watched me open my locker.
Putting my textbook inside of my locker, "It's unfortunate but they'll be aight." I replied while taking out a red folder.
"She's been taking the break up really hard. Shit, I would to... they were together for 2 years." Ashley responded, looking down at her pager that was currently beeping.
Closing my locker, I turned my head to look at her. "Who's paging you like that? It's been going off all day..." I inquired, zipping up my book bag that was rested on the floor in front of my locker.
"Oh.. it's Xavier. He just wants to know where I am." Ashley stammered, causing me to furrow my eyebrows.
"It's a friday... obviously you'll be in school." I replied, grabbing my book bag that was on the floor and throwing it on my back.
She rolled her eyes. "He just wants to make sure I'm okay at all times. Is that a problem?" Ashley asked, giving me a look.
It's weird.
I'll tell you that.
"Relax..." I responded, closing my locker and heading towards the direction of the gym.
"I am relaxed, thank you very much." Ashley fired back as she followed me to the gym.
Rolling my eyes, I opened the front gym door. It was the last home basketball game of the season and I had to show my support.
Malik's been under a lot of pressure since this game determines if Erasmus goes to the championships or not. He's been practicing so much lately that it concerns me.
I worry about him sometimes. I never see him take a break. If he's not doing basketball, he's helping out his family at the church. If he's not helping out at the church, he's studying for his SAT's. I don't even think he gets a full nights sleep.
If he's acting like this now, imagine when he goes to the pros.
Walking inside of the gym, I walked up the bleachers as I notice Aaliyah sitting down at the top with dark sunglasses on her face. Her belongings were covering two seats as if she was saving them for Ashley and I.
