The ride home was silent. You'd never seen Sarah like that before. You found it strangely hot. You look over and see a tear fall down Sarahs cheek. You rested your hand in her thigh and looked up at her. "What's wrong Sar?" You asked. She didn't look back at you, she was slightly slouched, almost ashamed of herself. "I- I'm sorry you had to see me like that but he just made me so mad and I know that doesn't make it right but-" She cut herself off and looked into your eyes. "You know that you mean everything to me right? Everything he said.. you know it's not true? I care so much about you and wouldn't dream of leaving you." She said and started to cry a little.

When you pulled up to Sarah's house you couldn't stop your thoughts from taking over. What if he's right. What if she's lying. What if she does leave me? Why hasn't she already? I wouldn't blame her. I'd want to leave a mess of a person like myself too. You thought to yourself as you closed your bedroom door behind you. You slid down the door and began to cry. You didn't know why though. Sarah said herself that she wouldn't leave you but you just couldn't bring yourself to believe her. You didn't want to get your hopes up. You felt like the world was closing in on you. You head to the bathroom to have a shower , they usually calmed you down. "I'm gonna go take a shower Sarah!" You called down the hall. You hopped into the shower and sat down with your knees up to your chest under the shower head and just rocked yourself back and forth with your eyes closed. This was something you often did. The warm water just swallowed you and there was a sense of comfort. Like you were the only one in the world and nothing could hurt you. Alone with your thoughts your mind began to stray to a darker thought. An itch in the back of your head you couldn't reach. Just one cut wouldn't hurt. You silently tell yourself as you got out of the shower and went to your room to go where you hid a few blades after Sarah had taken the ones from the bathroom. They weren't there. You tore your room apart but you couldn't find them. You knew Sarah must've taken them.

You stormed down the hall to her room. You knew she was only trying to help but you couldn't stop yourself from being angry. She had gone through your stuff and took the only source of relief you had. "Sarah what the fuck!" You said as you barged into her room. She looked at you with her head slightly tilted in confusion. You could see she had been crying and you instantly started to feel bad. "I'm sorry I.." You looked down ashamed of yourself. You were still wet from your shower and you stood there in your towel. "Can you just give them back." You say as your eyes start tearing up. "I know you took them just please give them back." As you said the last word you started to sob. Sarah hopped out of her bed and scooped you up. She didn't care that you were wet. She just held you. "Shh shh. It'll be okay, I've got you" She whispered in your ear and rubbed your back. You were exhausted. You felt your eyelids start to become heavy as you drifted off to sleep in her arms.
