Chapter 15: Training Arc

You all sat around the book Techno had thrown to you earlier that evening; its red velvet cover elegantly illuminated by the crackling fireplace behind you.

"Three questions a day. You get three questions a day to ask us anything about this world. We get three questions to ask about yours." Techno's bored eyes gazed into your own.

"A day- How long do you plan on keeping me here?" Brows furrowed, incredulous green eyes boring straight into his red ones.

"Until we can go into your world unnoticed." He shrugged.

Taking in a deep breath, your eyes drifted towards the book.

"Okay then... But you can't tell anyone I can do this." You clutched the hem of your blazer

"If you don't tell anyone about us, we won't tell anyone anything about you."

Nodding, you visibly relax in your spot. "Alright... First question then..." You paused. "You mentioned nonhumans and humans.. uhm- How many species are out there?"

Tommy leaned backwards, resting on his hands. "Plenty. But a lot of them are from Sinumpa since that's where they're all from. Unless their parents migrated here or moved here themselves."

"But you do have to be careful." He opened the velvet book. It landed on a page titled 'Sinumpa: Land of the Damned'. "Not all of us are exactly fond of humans. Only the ones in Sinumpa so you have nothing to worry about... Unless you run into one of the ones that came over here with the intent to kill." His mouth slightly curved into a small curve.

You shivered. "Sinumpa- What is it?"

Techno raised a brow and looked back into the book before looking back at you. "Well Sinumpa is where nonhumans come from. It's a large continent far from here. I come from the South region. In one of the smaller settlements."

Tommy nodded. "There's a bunch of nonhumans and most of them like humans or at least.. they can deal with them. But sometimes humans can be dicks so-" He cringed.

He paused and you stared at him for a moment. "Tommy- Are you not human?"

He thought for a moment. "I think I'm human. I mean I was just kind of- found? Uh- Yeah. I was just found. I don't really know my parents."

You nodded.

"Alright that was three questions."

"Wait- What?" Your head whipped towards Technoblade as he sighed.

"You asked three questions." You opened your mouth to interrupt but he spoke before you could. "The one about Tommy counts as something from our world."

Pouting, Tommy laughed at your expression as he faced Technoblade. "Can we-"

Techno nodded. "You get one question Tommy."

"One!? Wait why- I should get all of them! I'm a big man y'know-" Techno glared, his red orbs burning into Tommy's blue ones. "Fine."

"My house my rules Tommy."

He waved his hand. "Yeah. Yeah. Whatever." He thought for a moment, his eyes meeting your own. "Are you human?"

You nodded. "In my world, we only have humans. I mean we have animals too but like- as far as people like me? Only humans."

Tommy was about to ask more but Techno slapped his mouth over the blonde's resulting in him sulking.

"You can't ask anymore than one question. Unless she's up to answering?" He looked at you.

You shook your head. "I got three. You get three." You don't know where this sudden boldness in telling them what to do came from, but it surprised you.
