Decided to couple a chapter update with a Cover update, I prefer the new one.
....

A few more days had passed and I could see Loki getting progressively more frustrated.

Any attempt he made to wind me up completely failed, and that was Nat's plan. I have to try the hardest I can to seem like whatever he is doing has absolutely no impact, yet consistently wind him up.

And boy was it working. Every time I walked by him, his jaw would clench and I'd smirk up at him which just made him worse.

I could feel the tension and frustration from losing radiating off him every time we were in the same room.

I was absolutely loving every single second of it.

But deep down, he was keeping his word and doing better. He'd already figured out how to get to me, I just had to remember not to show it.

When I'm on my own he'll sometimes appear behind me and I can feel his hot breath on my neck as he whispers. Sometimes he'll pin me and get just close enough to kiss me before vanishing.

He was good, and I was running low on the will to make it seem like it wasn't working.

There was one point where he grabbed me from behind and pulled me back into his chest. He was whispering to me, I can't even remember what he said because I focus when I could feel his lips graze my neck. But then he vanished.

"He'll crack eventually."
Wanda plopped a piece of popcorn into her mouth.

"I have a sneaky feeling I'll crack before he does."
I laughed nervously and finished making my cuppa.

"You're falling for him, aren't you?"
Nat asked as she rested against the fridge with her arms crossed.

"What? Pfft no."

"Liar."
Wanda chimed in.

"Shush you! That's cheating."

"What's cheating?"
Bucky asked as he sat down.

"Just Wanda being intrusive."
I side-eyed her before sitting down.

"Hey you're a loud person."
She put her hands up in defense.

"I am not, you're just nosey."

We all just sat and talked for a while. It's been quiet around here since I showed up and I think they're enjoying it.

After a while, Loki walked in.

In casual clothing.

He had a dark green and black baggy shirt, some grey sweatpants and black converse. His hair fell gracefully over his shoulders.

My eyes widened and I almost choked on my tea. Wanda started giggling while Loki just shot me a smirk as he pridefully strode over to us, but I could see the determination in his face.

He knew exactly what he was doing.

"Wow, I can't remember the last time I saw you with anything but armour on."
Nat remarked before taking a sip of coffee.

"Cassandra has seen it plenty of times."
He smirked and spoke in a cocky tone to provoke both Bucky and myself.

That's when it clicked. Our last sparring session he wore grey sweatpants. He must have noticed the smallest difference in my reaction to him.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
Bucky stood up with anger.

"Buck, calm down. He's just being an ass to provoke you. We spar in casual clothes all the time."

Bucky just scowled at Loki.

"Well, I wouldn't always call it sparring."
The cocky smirk that appeared across his face was nothing like I've seen on him before.

I had to grab my brother's arm to stop him jumping across the table.
"Buck, he's winding you up on purpose."

"I've had enough of this clown."
Bucky growled in anger and left the room, quite quickly followed by Nat and Wanda.

I was going to attempt to try and peacefully drink my tea, but now Loki was here and also playing the clothes game I doubt that was going to happen.

Instead, I quickly finished my tea and tried to leave before Loki could try anything.

And surprisingly, he didn't.

....

That night I couldn't sleep so I decided to head to the living room to watch some TV.

Before I could even get half way to the couch I heard and felt him whisper against the back of my neck.
"Hello Darling."
It made me jump and I went to move, but he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me backwards into his chest.
"You're not going anywhere."
His voice was low and husky as his lips grazed my neck, not quite enough to kiss.

"Loki..."
I breathed out with a slight shake in my breath. This was not what I was expecting to happen today.

He turned me around to look at him. He was towering above me and the limited moonlight in the room bounced perfectly off his face. His pale skin shone in the light and his green eyes sparkled like actual emeralds.

He wrapped one of his arms around me to keep me pulled against him and I swallowed hard.

His eyes scanned my face. He lifted my chin up with his thumb and forefinger, before placing a gentle kiss on my lips.
