First day of school.

Is always the absolute worst day.

Does Izuku feel anxious again? You are absolutely right.

It's justified though, he has never been in a school for four years. If he didn't test out of middle school at age eleven, he was still in school months ago.

Did he regret that? Hell no. Never. Why? Because if he's still in that crappy school, most probably he'll never be able to do the things he did in the span of four years, and...he'll never meet Hitoshi. He shuddered at the thought. He's happy now, and that's all it matters.

But even though you are happy, you can always be anxious, and for Izuku it was a bad combination. He was fucking jittery.

He walked through the U.A. gates, hands clutching the straps of his backpack, and went to find 1-A.

Only to find himself lost, and he was absolutely sure that its only ten minutes before class. If the warning bell were any indication.

He panicked and looked around frantically. He glanced around the corridor and found a blonde student who was talking to a black-haired student- who looks just as nervous as Izuku. Walking towards the students, he approached and tapped the blonde's shoulder, before asking,

"Uhm, hi! Do you know where 1-A is?" He questioned them with a shy smile, and the blonde turned around before returning a smile of his own. However, once the black-haired one saw him, he looked more nervous than earlier. Izuku gulped and was about to apologize, but was interrupted by the blonde.

"Oh! You must be a first-year! Are you lost?" The blonde student asked, and Izuku sighed in relief before scratching the back of his neck. He nervously chuckled.

"Uh...yeah. It seems. Sorry if I bothered you two but since I don't know where the classroom is and I'm pretty sure I'm running late so...canyouhelpme? It'sokayifyoudon'twanttobecause-?" He rambled, and the blonde gave him a confused look. At his rambling, the black-haired student relaxed a little but made no move to stop him. The blonde cleared his throat, trying to stop Izuku's barrage of words, but that didn't work so he resorted to clapping in front of the green-haired boy, who jumped back in surprise. Once realization settles in Izuku, he went to ramble apologies again, before he was cut off by the blonde with a laugh, waving a hand to dismiss him. The black-haired student now wears a small smile on his face.

"Don't worry about that! Do you want us to escort you there?" He replied with a grin and nudged the other student, who grunted as a reply. Izuku lit up.

"Really? Thank you! That will be much appreciated." Izuku smiled, and walked side-by-side with them, the grin plastered on his face still intact.

"I'm Togata Mirio! I'm a second-year here!" The blonde introduced cheerfully, whereas the black-haired student sighed, seemingly want to get out of this situation. Not that Izuku can blame him, he is nervous to interact with people too.

"Amajiki Tamaki. Nice to meet you." The last statement is mumbled, and Izuku smiled, before mentally smacking himself when the silence stretched between the three of them. It's really been a long time since he introduced himself to someone, eh?

"Mi-Midoriya Izuku. N-Nice to meet you, Togata-senpai. Amajiki-senpai." He stuttered, and Togata chuckled at the green-haired boy's nervousness.

"Just call me Mirio!" The blonde added, and Izuku nodded.

"Uh, okay, Mirio-senpai." Izuku's hand was in his pocket now, tracing the bearing of his fidget spinner. It's not that he finds his senpais were a threat, okay? Izuku is just nervous about talking to someone other than his family or Katsuki. The blonde hummed in agreement, and they walked in silence before Amajiki leaned in and whispered something to him.
