Izuku can't believe what's happening. This is not what he is expecting when he went to U.A.

He had expected to be bullied or even be harmed physically once his quirklessness is outed. He had expected to be glared at and hear malicious comments. He had expected that he'll be dead last or in the middle of the group because after all, he's still quirkless- a boy without a quirk, and he is in heroics course with a bunch of kids that have flashy and powerful quirks. Sure he was determined unlike some who were slacking off, but still, there are places that your determination can't take you to.

What he didn't expect is to be third on the board- score higher than other kids who have quirks suited for heroics. And not only that, but he also didn't expect to have a teacher that actually defends him and expels students that easily. His respect and admiration for his favorite hero grew up more, but he was also a bit terrified of him. God, Aizawa-sensei might be just like that, but he can't help but feel like he can faint at this exact moment.

They're down in less than half and don't get him started, the first day isn't over yet! God, eleven students- gone in a span of one homeroom class. He feels like he is going to vomit.

He took a deep breath and tried to steady himself.

Aizawa-sensei dismissed them earlier but told him to stay for a moment. That made the other students glare at him more, and his anxiety is blowing up as he watched his classmates go-alone with his teacher. The blank look on Aizawa's face certainly didn't help. Did I do something wrong?

"To start off, you're not in any kind of trouble." And that made him stop for a moment, the thoughts that have been running wild in his head ceased.

"W-what?" He blurted, and Aizawa sighed.

"I'm just here to inform you that you can tell me or the other teachers if there is any bullying taking place anytime if we haven't seen it or through you. I know many people prejudiced you because of your lack of quirk and rest assured, U.A. isn't like that. So you better tell me if something like that happens before I find out, got it, problem child?" Aizawa bent down to his eye level when saying this, and Izuku was eerily still when hearing his teacher's statement.

God damn it, it's only the first day and he already earned himself a nickname. He mentally hissed.

Izuku bit his tongue and hesitantly nodded. Aizawa didn't buy that, but let it pass anyway.

"Good, that also applies when you need help. Now go back to your classroom." His teacher dismissed and promptly left, leaving him reeling on his thoughts again, before a sudden realization dawned him.

Did just...a teacher really asked him to speak up when he is being bullied?

Izuku shook his head. He still can't trust him, not yet at least. Sure, he had been nicer than his other teachers in his schooling in the past, though on the strict side- but, it's still the first day. Teachers are always like that on the first day.

But he did accept your quirklessness, unlike your past teachers, right? The rational portion of his mind asked, and Izuku inwardly sighed, as he began to walk back to his classroom.

Maybe...just this once. He'll try to trust them.

"Hey, Shouta! How's the first day? You still have students?"

Hizashi swung his arm to Shouta, with the intention of putting it to his shoulders. Shouta knew that once Hizashi saw him enter the teacher's lounge- or wherever really, he will do that, so he dodges.
