Chapter 4 - Losing Money on Jars

U.A's entrance exam. Every year he tries to reason to Nezu about that biased exam, and every time he always got rejected or dismissed. It's frustrating.

After expelling 4/5 of the class of first years last year, Aizawa Shouta was not expecting that much to this year's batch. Last year's first years was so full of themselves, and Aizawa wasn't expecting this year to be any different. He had a filling that he will fill his expel-jar quite early this year. He's sure that his co-workers were probably betting on how many students he will expel this year, after all, he is the only teacher on U.A that has an extensive record of expulsion.

He stood by the observation room, his back leaned on the wall as he boredly watched the screens. So far nothing interesting was happening, until his eyes slightly widened when a kid just jumped on a robot and cut on the wires of the robots left and right like some sort of maniac in a killing spree. Not only that he was cutting the wires, he also tazes them, albeit the robots he only tazes were the three-pointers, that were much durable than the other robots. Aizawa can't help but smirk. He wonders how the kid managed to garner points that fast with only two weapons – from what they can see, they can't really see exactly what his weapon is, they only know that one cuts the wires, the other discharges electicity, hence they concluded it's a tazer, probably – and a quirk that seemed non-flashy, or mental.

Apparently Nezu shares the same sentiment. The principal zoomed the screen, and all the teachers who looked at the screen saw a green haired boy cut wires in the robots to disable them. There are only 4 minutes left on the clock, and the green haired boy – Midoriya Izuku, scored 32 villain points already. It wasn't enough to land him in Hero Course, but they still have enough time and rescue points. Seeing Midoriya jumps left and right from robot to robot and push people away from falling debris and flying shrapnel, Aizawa already concluded he will see the kid this year.

"Nezu, do you know what that kid's quirk is?" He abandoned the wall a minute earlier to watch the kid that caught his and apparently Nezu's attention, who was cackling madly watching the teen jumping around in the testing area.

"That's a real kicker if I just informed you straight away, Aizawa. Why don't you read his file? Here." Nezu had this glint on his eyes when he gave a folder to him, and Aizawa felt a shiver run down his spine.

I guess we found the problem child this year, if Nezu gives this much attention to him. He thought as he opened the file. He skimmed through the file, finding the quirk section, until he found it, and started cackling like Nezu does.

The quirk portion has a dash.

His co-workers looked at him like he lost his mind, and soon after Nezu joined him after seeing what Midoriya did in the zero pointer to save a girl who felt like standing around near the zero pointer to berate someone was a good choice.

I retract my statement. This year is going to be different.

A year earlier, two weeks after Hitoshi was adopted.

"Ne, Toshi. Do you still want to go to school?"

Hitoshi looked up from petting Yuuki, the cat that was given as a birthday present for him even though it wasn't really his birthday. Izuku and Inko just brought a box home and a paper bag after that announcement he was adopted, and gave it to him. Sure he was hella confused when he saw it, but when he heard meowing in the box, he immediately threw the box cover and dropped the paper bag to see what is in the box, to see a black cat, with the same purple eyes as him. He was in so shock that he didn't even see his mom taking a video of him and his brother laughing off his ass in the floor, the bastard. He only said to Izuku that he likes cats, not to literally get him one, goddammit. Although, he will never admit, that it was very much appreciated. Back to the present, his brother was patiently waiting for his answer, and Hitoshi just scratched the back of his head.
