"Bixia Yuanjin!"

"It is really me, the God of Compassion," the female deity appeared in front of them and smiled softly at Ju Xin while ignoring Wen Lan. Indeed, she was a bit old and chubby, but how could the Ghost King dare to mock her?!

"Her Highness," Ju Xin slightly bowed towards her as Wen Lan rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue wryly.

"You surely do not know who I am!" Bixia Yuanjin yelled, her black eyes throwing daggers to Wen Lan.

"Of course I don't," Wen Lan stared at her with the same intensity, "how come I know you when you never showed up to grant me some good fortune," he challenged her.

That remark silenced Bixia Yuanjin who broke eye contact immediately. After half an incense stick of silence, she mumbled "everything happens for a reason."

"Whatever," Wen Lan shook his hand, "we are not here to discuss that matter."

"Right," she nodded supportively, being happy that the topic changed. "What are you doing here?"

"We want to see the Master of Life-and-death, Your Highness," Ju Xin said respectfully as he threw a glance towards Wen Lan to warn him to be cooperative.

"To see Xiao Wang?" she tugged the skin beneath her jaw. Yes, she was chubby enough to do that, so what?

Ju Xin nodded, "we have some questions to ask her, so can you help us to see her?"

The deity shifted her gaze between Wen Lan and Ju Xin, "a deity and a Ghost King together came to Taishan to find Xiao Wang to ask some questions, really?"

Indeed, it sounded absurd, but it was what it was. Sighing, Ju Xin nodded again.

"Will you help us or not?" Wen Lan asked, annoyed with her curiosity.

"Well, it depends on you actually," Bixia Yuanjin smiled allusively, "you need to give me the most important belonging on you, if I feel your sincerity, I will help you."

Wen Lan and Ju Xin exchanged a glance in confusion as it didn't sound like a hard task. Then, Ju Xin checked his sleeves and decided on Jin Huo. It was the most spiritual sword of Zhu Shen, so it was highly valuable.

"Jin Huo?" she mumbled, "it is not the most valuable thing in your possession," she pushed the sword back.

Ju Xin was confused, if it wasn't Jin Huo, what could it be?

"It should be valuable only in your eyes," Bixia Yuanjin clarified for the confused deity.

Hearing her words, Ju Xin checked his sleeves one more time, but there was really nothing on him, only a leather canteen and...

"From the expression on your face, I think you found it," she said all-knowingly and Wen Lan couldn't help but get curious.

"I..." Ju Xin muttered as if to himself. He could die of embarrassment if he handed the item to Bixia Yuanjin in front of Wen Lan, but if he didn't, they couldn't see the Master of Life-and-death.

"Well?" she pressed and reluctantly, Ju Xin took the item out of his sleeve and handed it to her with a grimace on his face.

Seeing the item, both Bixia Yuanjin and Wen Lan got flabbergasted.

The item was a single blue leaf...

The one which Heng O gave him in order to call Wen Lan. When Dong Qing appeared out of the blue, Ju Xin put the leaf into his sleeve, being reluctant to throw it away.

"It is valid," Bixia Yuanjin was the first to react while Wen Lan's dead heart was pounding inside his chest.

His blue leaf was the most valuable item on Ju Xin... Was it really happening? Did Ju Xin really care about him that much?
