Ch.4

"Langa I'd like for you to meet Reki-L2S" Reki said giving Langa the skateboard he was working on the last two weeks

"Reki-L2S?" Langa asked tilting his head in question while accepting the skateboard

"Yeah Reki Langa special rolling slider" Reki said while grinning

"That sounds stupid" Langa blankly said

"Hey! It's an awesome name" Reki said looking offended before he started laughing "anyways Langa it's time for you to show me if our training paid off"

"Okay" Langa said nodding his head before he walked over to the start line "I'm ready" he said glancing at Miya

"About time" Miya said

After a minute the race began, Reki found himself in a car with shadow following the two males. He threw some words of encouragement Langa's way throughout the process and intensely watched him skate

"It's not the same" Reki mumbled to himself

"Huh?" Shadow asked

"It's not as much as I felt.." before reki could finish his sentence he witnessed Langa's skating through the staircase portion of the race

The way Langa avoided the gab between the rail he was skating down gave Reki a rush "he's so awesome" he said his eyes sparkling

Once the two passed the finish line, Reki got out the car and ran towards Langa "that was awesome" he said grabbing langa's hands and shook them in excitement

"Did I live up to your expectations?" Langa asked as his face turned red from the skin contact

"At first I was disappointed but then you did that thing at the rail and I was like 'that's so cool' you're awesome!!! I knew it, you're the one for me!!" Reki said while jumping on top of Langa in excitement

"Um..he he...t-thanks" Langa said becoming very aware of Reki once again, his face was turning more and more red as reki clung to him in excitement

"That was a splendid performance" Adam said walking over to Langa and Reki

Reki got off Langa and stood aside and watched as Adam talk to Langa then he started saying some less than pleasant stuff to Miya which ticked him off, so he challenged him to a beef

"You don't have to do this" Miya said

"I'm doing it anyways, I'm not going to sit here and listen to someone talk crap about another person" Reki said grabbing langa's skateboard "I'm borrowing this" he said

"Um..okay" Langa said

"I want a match against Langa if I win" Adam stated

"And if I win you apologize to him" Reki said while pointing at Miya

"Alright, let's get into it" Adam stated

They both walked to the start line and got ready after a few seconds the race was started. The excitement Reki felt a couple minutes ago was long gone which didn't translate well into his skateboarding. He didn't feel any type of rush or excitement competing against Adam. The only feeling he felt was annoyance and a hint of disgust, he didn't know why Adam's skateboarding brought up these feeling but he was now sure that Adam is nowhere near to gaining his admiration, in fact he felt a sort of dislike towards the bluenette

"As promised Langa will go against me, let's hold the match in two days time" Adam said "I'll be waiting" he said looking at Langa before he left

"Reki" Langa said as he and Miya rushed over to him, annoyance was very evident on Reki's face

"Hey, there's no need to take it to heart" Miya said

"Disgusting" Reki said

"What the heck was that!?" A new voice asked

Everyone turned their attention to the new voice to see a guy who looked a year older than Miya

"I came all the way here from the UK to see you skate but what just happened is nothing but disgraceful!"

"Who are you?" Reki asked narrowing his eyes at the boy

"The name is Jack Smith and I'm here to challenge the unbeatable and top skateboarder from the UK, Flames aka Reki Kyan" Jack said as he pointed his finger at reki "I want a serious match not the crap you just showed everyone, I want to see the real skills you're hiding from everyone"

"Top skateboarder? Skills?" Miya asked as he and Langa turned to look at reki then back to Jack

"Jack Smith....oh you're that up and coming kid called Summer" Reki stated

"So you know about me" Jack said

"No not really, I just know that you beat my record of the fastest time to complete a race at that underground race course" Reki said giving Langa his skateboard back and started walking away

"Where do you think you're going!? We aren't done here!" Jack yelled

"You want to challenge me Huh?" Reki asked

"That's right, I'll take away your title as UK's number one skater away from you" Jack said

"Mhm" reki hummed before he continued to walk away

"Don't Mhm me! Let's race right now so that I can take the title of number one and get out of this country!" Jack said

"Not interested" Reki said

"What do you mean by that!" Jack yelled

Reki stopped once again and turned his head to look at Jack
"I simply mean I'm not interested in the ones who can't excite me. If you can manage to excite me with your skateboarding then I'll gladly take you on" he said while grinning "okay it's time to go home, I have school in the morning" he said walking away without stopping

"Just you wait Flames, I'll make you acknowledge me" Jack stated as he furrowed his eyebrows

"Hey what you said about Reki, is it true?" Langa asked looking at Jack

"Huh?" Jack asked raising his eyebrows

"Reki being the top skateboarder in the UK is it true?" Langa asked clearly interested in the topic

"Aren't you friends with him, ask him yourself" Jack stated before he walked away while mumbling to himself stuff like "The rumours about him being arrogant are true" and "I'm going to beat you, you just wait and see"
