9:30 PM

Matthew Espinosa

Olivia was trailing behind me on purpose, and I knew the reason why. She realizes and knows for a fact how much I despise her and really didn't want her to come along with me. Instead of being that vexatious person she always was, with her babbling and whining, she was silent and didn't dare to stay beside me for comfort.

But I wouldn't blame her for not staying beside me anymore – I wasn't going to give her comfort either way. But I do want her to stay beside me, so that she wouldn't get into any more damn trouble that have to save her in.

It was now about 9:30 pm, and the whole time I've just been creating a plan on how I'm going to rescue Cameron and Lauren – and how I'm going to keep Olivia safe while doing so.

"Olivia, come beside me. Now." I ordered without even looking at her, but looking forward. The streets were mostly empty, but I knew it was still dangerous, because people could be hiding anywhere and could come out any time.

Like from behind me, where Olivia was.

I heard the jogging footsteps of Olivia, and soon, she was beside me. At least she obeyed me without whining or complaining, I thought when I confirmed it was her by taking a glance at her. She was looking down and playing with the hem of her sweater.

"Are you hungry?" I questioned, although I already knew that she was. She hasn't eaten since she left the apartment of her and Lauren – and I know that as a fact. And I didn't allow her to eat anymore, because she already wasted one bag of chips when she let it go during that time when she was in capture of that guy.

"No." she lied.

"I know that you are," I tell her and stop walking, and she did, too. I removed the backpack off my back and unzipped it. I fished out a small bag of chips and handed it to her. "Here." I mumbled and she took it, watching me as I flipped the backpack back to its position before, and then we both continued to walk.

She opened the chips and began munching on it, and I ate from it, too. "Thank you." she said in a quiet voice and I shrugged.

"No problem." I replied and glanced at her. She glanced at me, too, and we made a brief second of eye contact before she looked away quickly. I now just noticed...how beautiful her hazel eyes are, even in the dark.

Although, that doesn't change my perspective of her – she's still annoying and I'd rather have her be at Cameron's place than be with me.
