The PSA announcer echos through the halls as lunch is buzzing around the clock while I check myself towards the computer lab.
There aren't many people hanging out inside the locker hallways, but it gives me a chance to download the data files for each grade level. The fucking hard part about this is that it's gonna take up most of the lunch period to download a single one of these students.
Couldn't Cory do this on his own? Well, Cory can't do a mission right without having the correct gear, that's why he doesn't want to blow his cover.
The team, which is me, Devon, Cory and Damien are Wilkins best task force for espionage. Our parts are all the same but different to roles. Damien's the SWAT, Cory's the surveillance analyst, and Devon and I are special agents with licenses to kill. Wilkins only wants the best, and he doesn't let anyone in unless they prove it to him.
Walking at the East hall, I spot the computer lab, where it's dark with a few of the computer monitors still on.
Reaching for my backpack, I grab my pick-pock tool which I use every single mission to get in. I jumble around the lock a few times and when it clicks, I slightly open, taking a look around to see if anyone, teachers or students are nearby. I quickly get inside, closing the door behind me and pulling the curtains down so no one can suspect a single thing.
I spot an open computer monitor still on and quickly log on. Grabbing my burner from my backpack, I call Cory to guide me through this because I honestly don't know a single thing out of this shit.
He finally picks up on the 3rd ring, as I grab one of the tool that Wilkins gave us. This device allows us to retrieve the school file in the shape without having any traces leading back to us. Its more of a USB drive than a secret service tool.
"Cory, I'm accessing the school files right now. But I need you to help me get to them."
"Hold on I'm patching myself through so the drive can pick up the response from here, but it's gonna take a while since I'm underground." He says.
"Well make it fast, the lunch bell doesn't ring till 1 and I can't let any of the teachers or admin see me."
"Okay, okay. Do you have the two wires that are in the tool set?" He asks. I shuffle my tool case and find a red and black wire that connects to the USB drive.
"Yeah, they're here."
"Okay, now found those exact outlets for each of them and connect it to the drive, it should help it retrieve the files faster." He says.
It's too dark in here and I can't put the lights on, so I grab my flashlight and start looking around the computer box. I try opening a small latch that shows circuits and wires but nothing that can fit these two plugs.
"Dammit, Cory, do these wires have labels or somethin'?"
"I'll check, maybe u can replace one of them for now. I'll make sure the hard drive is downloading, but for now just find those outlets!"
"Ughh, this is why I'm never assigned to computer analytics." I roll my eyes, scurrying to see if any hole fit until I reach one for the red wire.
"Okay got one in. Is it working?" I ask him. Cory doesn't respond as I check to see if my burner is still on call.
