"MY...WONDERLAND."

Y/N let out a breathy gasp.

It was the same dreamy theme park that she had built up in her early years, adjusting and developing it as she aged through into her elementary time.

"We're back..." Lui spoke, eyes gazing in all directions. "God...this brings back memories."

The hot pink ribbons were once again twirled around the poles of lampposts, balloons levitating in one place in the air, people walking around with bright smiles on their faces, hand in hand with their loved ones and children.

"I actually haven't been here in years."
Y/N stated. Her E/C lit up like fireworks once she spotted a tall familiar building. "Lui! Lui!" Her hand clasped loosely around his, tugging it. "Do you remember that?"

A giant swirl of vanilla and rainbow sprinkles topped the ice cream, the sweet brown substance drizzled down the cone, melted on chocolate.

"That's the ice cream thing." He stated, taking a step towards it. "And that was the bench we sat on..."

"I remember!" Y/N grinned, interlocking their fingers.

"I had such a sour attitude." He grumbled, guiding the both of them closer to the classic wood plank bench.

"You still kind of do." She mumbles under her breath. Lui overheard her, shooting her a look from the corner of his eye. Y/N giggled. "Want some ice cream? The same chocolate blue swirl?"

"Yeah, sure—just no rainbow sprinkles this time. I swear those things keep getting stuck in my teeth."

"M-kay!"

While Y/N was busied up in the little ice cream cone, Lui took this chance to take in his surroundings.

The pink everything, sky blues strapping the skies overhead, ribbons and balloons looming around the brick paths, people with smiles and giggles, what was her reason for making something so...so...He supposes, "ideal"?

"I'm back!" Y/N smiled, arm swinging at her side as the other hand held the cup of the blueberry tainted cream.

A sheepish laugh escaped her lips once she plopped down next to Lui.

"Oh, thanks." He muttered, a tug at the corner of his mouth. The blue shark accepted the patterned cup. Inside, stabbed into the three scoops stacked up on top of each other was a tiny, white, plastic spoon, cute with a foldable handle.

"All the cones were gone," the H/C headed lady explained. "sorry."

"No worries." Lui replied, digging up a spoonful and shoving it into his mouth. "I find this more easier."

The awkward silence was filled up with the voices of the other faces on the paths. Busy vendors, kids screaming on rollercoasters, the usual.

"So why'd you make this place?" Lui asked her.

Y/N bit her bottom lip as a small smile pushed through, fingers curling on the edges of the bench's wooden planks.

"I first created this after a carnival my parents took me to." She answered, E/C eyes gazing up at the cloudless sky. "People smiling make me smile. Them laughing brings me laughter. I like social places like these where everyone's happy."

"Hm, used to like those too."

A tiny giggle responded, then sucked in cheeks. "That's why when my dad started drinking and began showing abusive behavior every night he returned from work...this became my little haven."

...

"Of course...now that I have friends, people I can talk to, I don't really come here anymore."

...

"And I'd like to say thank you to you first on that." Y/N beamed brightly, close-eyed and starry as her smile sparkles like the many lights at night.

"Me—" He blinked. "I-I did something?"

"Yeah, I suppose so. I first met you and all this stuff that's somehow relates to you magically happened."

"Oh.  You're welcome."

...

"So what now?" Y/N asked, leaning back onto the back of the bench. Lui shrugged at her question.

"Dunno, wanna end it?"

"W-What?  This?"

"Not this, you idiot."

"Ohhhh, okie."

...

The corners of Y/N's mouth turned up as she straightened her back, scooting closer and up side to side.

"Wh—you don't need to be this close—"

"Chu~"

She pulled away with a giggling grin, leaving only the perplexed expression held on Lui's face.

"What the heck was that?"

"It's...affection?"

He gave a look.

"Hey—why the face?" She mumbled, huffing.

"...I'm debating—" he muttered back, setting down the cup to his side. "shush."

"What're you debating?"

"Whether to finish my ice cream, or kiss you."

...

"That is a hard decision—"

"I agree."

...

"Okay I'm gonna kiss you—get over here."
