"No, why would you think that?"

"Don't deny it, I know it's true," he said, though I was very sure he was just trying to get me to admit it.

"It's not, it would be super cool if I had fire powers, but I can only dream of them," I lied, again.

"I witnessed you, and I know that all I gotta do is either piss you off or freak you out, then flames are coming out of you," Louis explained. God, how many people had to know?

I stayed quiet and just sat down on an armchair. What else would I say?

"How much do you know?" Louis asked.

"Not much," I simply said, keeping my voice soft and quiet. His gaze burned on me but I kept my head rested on my hand while looking down. Simply feeling devastated.

"How long have you been like this?" he asked

"Since the day you kidnapped me," I replied, biting the inside of my cheek. Suddenly my shoes became much more interesting than whatever was going on.

"Wouldn't you ever like to learn more about yourself?" he asked.

I couldn't really reply to that because I didn't really know if I wanted to. What if I learned and the consequences were worse than if I didn't learn?

"Okay," I said unsurely.

"You know, I'm gonna teach you about control over your abilities," Louis said.

I simply nodded. "Okay, tell me."

"You wanted to know more about yourself?" he asked unsure of what I meant.

"Okay," I said and shrugged. I glanced up and noticed Louis glaring at me.

"Yes, yes, yeah I would like to," I blurted out.

"You are what they call an elementalist," he said. I simply nodded.

"And elementalists have the power to manipulate and/or create at least one of the four base elements; water, earth, fire and air," he continued. Mine was fire, I knew that. My mom and my brother's were water. "Some elementalists have the power of two elements, but the ones that have the power of one element also have the power over any floating elements within the base element. Basically, smaller and less significant elements that fall under an even bigger one. Then there are also elementalists with their powers a bit random, but never mind that."

So I had flames, what else was there to say? What was this lengthy conversation for?

"But you're special," he said. Fuck. "You're the Chosen One." Great, just great. "So instead of just fire, you can also control and manipulate the rest of the base elements including the floating ones."

"You don't seem very happy," Louis said after a long pause.

I picked at some dirt under my nails and sighed softly in reply. There was no way I was spilling my feelings to Louis, maybe Perrie, but I was going to make sure to keep her out of the elementalist world.
