I wiped my tears on my soaked sleeve for what had to be the millionth time. The tears in my eyes were making my vision too blurry to really do anything.

The highway I was on barely had any people, and I had been in the car for the past five hours. The highways were clear since almost everyone took the speed-train nowadays. I really didn't want to take it in the condition I was in now.

It was one in the morning and I very tired, but I couldn't sleep properly. My plan was to just totally leave the country and a new life. It seemed pretty tough to me, but I was following my mother's final words.

"Just, leave, run away, it's what's best."

More tears pooled out of my eyes making my vision slightly blurry again. I blinked several times to stop the tears. Then I reached out to the cup-holder beside me and fumbled with holding up my energy drink. I had on inside-out fire-proof gloves. Every so often fire, and sparks would shoot out of my hand, and I didn't trust myself with what I was doing. I could have burned something, for God's sake.

Another yawn, which sounded quite strange with my sobbing, came out of my mouth and I looked at the up front to see how faraway I was from the UK-Poland bridge.

82 kilometers left. A long sigh escaped my lips.

After I had traveled around 60 kilometers, I noticed a sign for bathrooms. I needed to relieve myself so I told the car to go to the pitstop. Luckily, there were no other cars so I felt more comfortable going to the bathroom.

For the sake of safety, I locked my car several times after I got out and then opened the door to one of the bathrooms and rushed in.

After I had done my business, as well as washed the toilet, I began taking off my makeup, which I hadn't done yet at all.

Concealer, eyeliner, mascara, brow makeup, everything had become a mess on my face. As I was rubbing black streaks off of my cheeks, the light in the bathroom turned off.

I moved to reactivate the lights, but something grabbed the throat and I felt something cool press against my head.

My heard skipped a beat from the panic. I didn't dare struggle because I knew that whoever held me could kill me in a matter of seconds.

"W-what do y-you want?" I stuttered quietly.

"Do as I say or I'll shoot," a voice whispered in my ear, while grazing my earlobe. I shuddered in fear and felt the cool object being forced deeper.

His other hand moved and grabbed onto my hip and we wrapped his arm around mine. I felt like I couldn't move. I was too stunned.

He opened the door of the bathroom and pushed me out and I stumbled and fell to the ground. There was an SUV parked in front of us and I couldn't see inside of it.

Before I could think again, I ran as fast as I could around the building to where my car was. I heard a gunshot go off and pain seared through my left arm. I knew I couldn't let the pain stop me so I continued running as I gripped on the bulled wound.

However, when I came to the spot where my car had been, I found that all the tires were slashed and the computer was smashed out and thrown onto the ground. I had never even learned how to drive and even then, the car couldn't go anywhere with its tires slashed.

I thought about using my fire powers. I would be able to kill them in one blow and then take their car to continue my journey. That would work.

As I thought of the same emotions as before and forgot about holding back my powers -and the tremendous pain in my arm. Flames licked up my arms and I felt my body become hot and sweaty. When I turned around, at least a dozen people, armed, may I add, aimed their weapons at me. The flames intensified and became more like fires burning on each of my arms.

The armed people came closer to me and I ran closer to them. Streams of fire spread quickly around me, but I noticed that they didn't affect the people coming at me. Had they been prepared for this?!

I was going into more of a frenzy and tried to set some of the people on fire.

Before I could move much more, a pair of gloved hands gripped onto my wrists. I panicked and reacted with my legs flailing and trying to kick at whoever was holding me, but before I could get any further, more hands grabbed my legs.

They put my hands in handcuffs and I realized in shock that the fire had stopped burning on my arms. Now that they had me captive and they knew about my powers, I was fúcked.

"I've been wanting you for quite a while now," a voice said as a dark shadow loomed over me.

"Please, you don't want me, I'm not the right person, I can give you my money!" I pleaded, trying to distract them from what I realized they probably wanted, my powers.

"I'm pretty impressed by those fires you had on your arms. I'm pretty sure you're what we're looking for."

The man chuckled and the last thing I remembered before blacking out was something hard hitting the back of my head.
