SaiOma oneshot Part 1

Shuichi opened the door which led to his dorm room and stumbled onto his bed.
"Rough day?" His roommate, Kaito Momota, questioned with concern
"Kinda..." the detective responded

For the past week, Saihara has been helping his uncle solve murders which resulted in him hardly sleeping at night.
"Tomorrow my uncle said he'd let me have the day off" Shuichi stated making Kaito smile
"That's great, we can hang out with Kaede and Maki roll tomorrow then" the astronaut cheered and put his two fists together
"Yeah, that'd be really nice" the blue haired male smiled and closed his eyes.

"Shuichi, how could you!" The silhouette of Kokichi screamed as he was being cuffed by two other men
"How could you accuse me of murdering someone" the black figure shouted. Tears streamed down Shuichi's face as he watched the smaller male struggle to get free
"I thought you loved me!"
Those words ringed his the detectives ears, he tried covering them but the noise only grew louder

"I hate you Shuichi Saihara"

Shuichi woke up with sweat running down his face. He sat up and whiped his face
'Why did I dream about Kokichi? We haven't talked since last week when he....'
Saihara shook his head and checked the time.
'6:45'
The blue haired male sighed and closed his eyes but then opened his eyes again when he heard the door unlocking.
'Kaito is sleeping and no one but him and I have the key to this room' Saihara began to panic.

The door swung open to reveal a short, purple haired male
"Kokichi!? How did you get in here!" The detective whisper shouted.
"I picked the lock, duh" Oma jumped onto the bed and hugged Saihara
"I missed you Shumaiii, you've been so busy with your detective work" Kokichi pouted, making Shuichi blush slightly
"S-sorry..." He apologized while looking down

Kokichi booped his nose
"To make up for all the time we lost, we should hang out today" the supreme leader grined
"Keep your voice, Kaito is still sleeping-"
"It's too late, I'm awake" Mamota sat up groggily and stared daggers into Oma's eyes
"Sorry" Saihara apologized again
"It's ok, it wasn't your fault sidekick" the astronaut reassured him.
"Shumai go get dressed, we're going to go to the park"
"Now?"
"Yes now!"
Shuichi sighed and got out of his bed, he grabbed a few clothes from his draw and went to the bathroom to change.

A few seconds later the blue haired male walked out wearing mainly black clothing. Kokichi grabbed the taller boy's hand and dragged him out the door
"See you later Kaito" Shuichi commented before being pulled outside his dorm.
"Ah! Wait Kokichi, I forgot my hat-" Saihara spoke. Kokichi stoped and looked the taller male in the eyes
"Didn't Kaede tell you to stop wearing that emo hat?" The supreme leader questioned. Shuichi looked off to the side
"...A-anyways, why did you want to hang out with me?"

Kokichi giggled
"I missed you!"
"Did you really..."
"No that was a lie" Oma snickered
"Buuut I thought we should hang out after what happened last week, you know when we-" the purple haired male was cut off by Saihara covering his mouth
"Don't say it" the detective hissed.

Kokichi pulled away from Shuichi's grip
"What, that we kissed~" Oma teased making Saihara hide his face with his hands.
"I-it was just on the spur of the m-moment..." Shuichi tried to defend himself
"Or maybe it was because you thought I was so beautiful, that you couldn't resist" Kokichi giggled, making Shuichi sigh.

They continued to walk and soon entered the park. Oma ran to the nearest bench. He sat down and patted the spot next to him, signaling for Shuichi to sit next to him, which he did.
"I'm surprised you agreed to hang out with me Shumai" the purple haired boy spoke, making the other raise his brow
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you could've declined but you didn't, maybe you do love me!" The supreme leader joked
"It's not like that... I only like you as a friend..." Saihara responded

(Shuichi just Adrien Agrest'ed him ✋😩)

"Fine, whatever" Oma rolled his eyes.
"Anywho, how has your detective work been going?"
"It's been very... Tiring" Shuichi pouted and closed his eyes
"That sounds rough" Kokichi mumbled
"I'm fine though..."
"That's obviously a lie"
Shuichi looked down
"Just take a few days off at least" Kokichi added, making Shuichi smile
"I guess I could take a few days off"
"Yay! That means you can spend more time with me then"

Oma rested his head on the detective's shoulder
"What should we do?"
"I thought you would know since you invited me"
Kokichi pouted
"I didn't think that far a head..."
Saihara pulled out his earphones from his pocket
"We could listen to music" shuichi suggested
"Sure, just don't play anyting lame" Kokichi replied.
Shuichi handed him the left side of the earphones and plugged it into his phone.
The song 'Somewhere Only We Know' played

(My head cannon is that Shuichi is a huge Keane fan)

"Oh simple thing, where
have you gone. I'm getting
old and I need something to rely on"

Oma closed his eyes and placed his hand on top of Saihara's.

"So why don't we go
somewhere only we know"

Shuichi gazed lovingly at the smaller boy, who was swaying his head to the music. They continued to listen until the song ended. Before the next song could play, Saihara presed pause.
"Hey Kokichi"
"Yeah Shumai"
"Remember when I said I only thought of you as my friend"
Kokichi looked at him with confusion
"Yeah..."
"Well... I was kinda lying... Kokichi ever since we've become closer, I've developed feeling for you... I know it sounds weird but I was wondering if you felt the same" Shuichi rambled
"I like you too Shumai" Kokichi replied
"R-really!? That great, I'm so happ-"

"That was a lie!"

Saihara paused and looked at the supreme leader
"Wh... What?"
"I was lying obviously. Geez Shuichi, you're way dumber than I expected, I mean who would want to date a loser like you" Oma smirked. Tears mixed with anger and sadness trickled down the detective's face.
"Why would you lie about something like that!"
Kokichi ignored him
"N-nevermind... I'm leaving" Saihara put his earphones in his pocket and stood up.
"I'll see you around Kokichi..."
And with that, the blue haired male left.

Kokichi sat in silence. He liked Shuichi too but couldn't help but lie. Lying used to be a coping mechanism for him and has gotten so used to lying, that sometimes he automatically tells lies. The purple haired male sighed. He lost his chance to be with Shuichi but didn't bother crying since he knew it was his own fault
"I'm sure Shumai will be ok... Right?"
