First off, thanks to 106743t for suggesting this and many other oneshots. I will be doing more of y'alls suggestions

Second of all, I'm not a religious person(Exept when it comes to Asahi, amen 🛐) so I'm not sure how accurate this story will be

I'm only basing this on all the knowledge I've gathered from Obey me!

"Makoto hunny, remember we love you" The brunette's mother reminded him before droping him at high school
"I love you too mom" he replied with a smile while walking across the street. He wasn't paying attention and blindly walked into the street. As he did, he heard the screeching sound of a car breaking. But it was too late, by the time Makoto realize what was about to happen, the car had already slammed into him. He heard his mother screaming and run towards him. The last words he ever heard were his mother screaming his name.

Naegi woke up in a panic, he looked around his room and calmed himself down
'Why do I keep on dreaming about how I died' Naegi thought and realizing he had his wings wrapped around him. He tucked them away until the weren't visable

Makoto Naegi was an angel who had unfortunately died several years ago due to a car accident. All though his death happened years ago, Makoto is still haunted by his mother's screams. Makoto sat up a held his head in his hands and sighed
'What is wrong with me? Everyone else has forgotten how they died'
Naegi finally got up and got dressed before walking out of his house.

Most people thought heaven was made out of clouds, but it looked exactly like earth. The only difference is you don't feel any physical pain and the weather was always perfect.

Makoto walked down on the side walk, looking at the sky
"Morning Makoto" someone called out, making Naegi turn around
"Ah, good morning Kyoko!" He greeted the lavender haired girl.
"Are you going to go down today?" She asked
"Of course I am, I go everyday" Makoto stated. Everyday Naegi would go down to earth and visit the graveyard where he was buried in hopes that he'll be able to see his sister or parents.
"You know you need to let go eventually and stop visiting your grave" Kirigiri said making the brunette smile weakly
"I'll see you around Kyoko" he mumbled and walked away.

He walked out the gates of heaven and brought out his wings. He took a few deep breaths before taking flight and flew to his destination. Fortunately humans could not see angels and demons except for a few special people.

Makoto landed and walked over to his grave, reading the words carved into the stone grave

Makoto Naegi

There were a boquet of Lilys lying on top of where he was buried. Makoto looked down and chew the inside of his cheek
"How pathetic, an angel crying over a death"
Makoto flinched and looked up. There he saw someone with mid-length blonde hair and white glasses who sat on a grave in front of Naegi's. He was not human nor angel.
"Y-you're a-"
"Demon, yes" the stranger cut him off. Naegi stared at the demon in front of him, he was the most angelic demon he'd ever seen
"Take a picture, it'll last longer" the blonde sneered
"Uh... I'm Makoto Naegi, nice to meet you" the brunette bowed. There was an akward silence
"Are you going to tell me your name?"
"Byakuya Togami" the blonde said in annoyance.

Makoto averted his gaze
"So, why are you here?" Naegi questioned
"I could ask you the same thing"
"I come here everyday, if I'm lucky enough I get to see my family" Naegi chimed
"How useless" Byakuya spat
"H-hey, you didn't tell me why you're here"
"I came to look at earth for the last time" the blonde looked up at the sky
"Oh... Doesn't that mean you're going see your family?" Makoto asked
"The only family I have is my father.... If anything he's the real demon" Togami gridded his teeth as he thought of his father.
