If you request something from me, don't request it from someone else; it'll make it look like we're copying each other and that can cause problems. So if you ever think about requesting, please understand my updates aren't the quickest. If you feel like I won't do a good job, please, don't even request it all. Thank you.

"is this all really necessary? i'm 18 now, why are you still treating me like a baby?!" i asked, anger filling my eyes, betrayal and sadness lacing with my already unstable voice. "it's for your own good hunny... please, jus- don't make this any harder than it already is." my father sighed, rubbing his temples. i scoffed, "my 'own good'? when have you ever thought about anyone other than yourself. this is exactly why mom left you." i mocked, tears falling down my face

i wasn't thinking twice about what i was saying, or the impact it would have on dad.

"i hate you." i said, bumping into him as i stormed to my room, locking my door behind me before i flopped on my bed, crying into my pillow.

living with my dad was.. rough, to say the least. mom had left him because he had always been to busy and never made time for his family. so, she decided to see how much family actually meant to him. without warning, she up and left, moved back to japan with my grandma and grandpa; leaving me in korea with my dad. he had never been strict, that's why his new rules were upsetting me so much. you can't let someone live 18 years with free rein and then give them, basically, a 24 hour babysitter and think they'll be okay with it.

*~time skip~*

around 8:30 that night, i heard a knock on my door but i ignored it. soon after the knock, i heard my father's voice whispering softly, "dinner's downstairs.. i know you're mad at me but you need to eat. i'll give you room, though. and make sure you're in bed before 10:00pm, you have school tomorrow." i shook my head, disappointed that he was solely worried about school at a time like this — of course it didn't affect him the same way it did me, but still.

i decided to continue ignoring him, going into my bedroom's bathroom and brushing my teeth and washing my face before getting ready for bed.

falling asleep wasn't a problem at all; crying usually made me tired.

*~the next morning~*

i drowsily woke up to my alarm, the urge to hit stop and lay in bed stronger than ever. somehow, though, i managed to get myself out of bed and dressed within 15 minutes. after getting ready, i headed downstairs, bowing to the maid as i made my way outside and to my car, completely disregarding my father's presence.

i made it to school sooner than usual and i waited outside the main gate for, one: the school to open and two: for my bodyguard that dad had "assigned me."

i scoffed and rolled my eyes as i continued waiting what seemed like forever until i saw a tall, lean figure walking up to me. as he came closer, i realized it was my childhood friend, lee jeno. a smile tugged at the corners of my mouth as he approached me, bringing me into a tight hug. without hesitation, i asked; "can i rant to you for a second?" while looking up at him since i was quite small compared to him. "of course you can, you know that." he said, giving me the sweetest eye smile. i sighed, "dad thought it would be a genius idea to give me a bodyguard. a literal, fucking, bodyguard: like i'm 12 or something. does he not realize i'm 18, now?! i'm a legal adult-. like, i'm literally in my last year of high school, why do i-" i tried, before jeno interrupted me.
