Legolas didn't feel good when he left Daenerys with the dwarves. A few times he had stopped his horse to return, but always decided to go on with his journey. He heard the sound of horses and hid in a tree. He shot an arrow, which ended right in front of his father's elk. Thranduil looked up at him and Legolas jumped out of the tree.

"Sorry, ada," he said. "I was scared you would be an army of orcs or something." Thranduil only smiled at him.

"Where is Eurielle?" he asked. He remembered the fake name to keep Daenerys save.

"Why?" Legolas said.

"I need to give her something," Thranduil said.

"She is with the dwarves at Erebor," Legolas said.

"Bring me to her, Legolas."

"Yes, Ada."

They arrived at Erebor and saw Daenerys coming out of the mountain. Thranduil was scared all the others died, but then the dragon followed her out with his head hung low.

Daenerys put her hand on the snout of the dragon. "May your death be quick and without pain," she whispered, tightening the grip around her sword. Then she took it up and slit it along his throat. Smaug roared, blood coming out of him everywhere possible and then fell to the ground. Daenerys felt a pain in her throat and coughed up some blood. This was because of her close bond with dragons. She couldn't hurt them without hurting herself.

Thranduil watched in disbelieve how the mighty, invincible dragon fell down. When he looked back at Daenerys, he saw she was full of blood. She bent forward and spit on the ground. Just when she came up a bit, he saw blood trickling down her chin. 'Something is totally wrong,'  Thranduil thought. He gasped when he saw Daenerys falling down and being picked up by Thorin. When Thorin carried her inside the mountain, Thranduil jumped off of his elk. He wanted to run to the entrance, but was stopped by one of the guards.

"She is probably already dead, my lord," Tauriël said, keeping hold onto his cloak. Thranduil pulled his cloak out of her hand and rushed towards the mountain. At the entrance, he saw Bilbo Baggins sitting on a stone. The hobbit stood up when he noticed the king.

"King Thranduil, I have your jewels," the hobbit said and took the gems out of his jacket. Thranduil looked at him.

"Thank you, mister Baggins, but my real jewels are inside," he said and walked in. Bilbo didn't get it at first, but then put the gems back into his jacket and walked in as well.

Thranduil was shocked

Thranduil was shocked. It looked the same as when he saved Daenerys, but this time there were people standing around her and even one kissing her. Thranduil recognised Thorin as the dwarve that had the courage to kiss a lady while she was not really present. Balin was the first one to notice Thranduil.

"King Thranduil, what brings you here?" he asked.

"Daenerys," he said, both to answer and to show that he cared for her. He walked over to the bed she was laying upon. He put a hand on her cheek and whispered a spell. Daenerys opened her eyes.

"King Thranduil, what are you doing here?" she asked.

"Seeing you," Thranduil said. Then he bent over and whispered in her ear: "But you can call me Elrond."

He heard her gasp in shock.
