3RD PERSON:

Sokka huffed lightly, his breath ragged, as he took another simple step on his crutches. "Come on, man, almost there," he told himself under his breath. He suddenly stopped as he placed a hand to the wall to stop himself from collapsing.

He was at a local school in Yu Dao. Inside the school, Toph and Satoru were filling out some papers. Toph wanted to open a metalbending school, just in case something like what happened ever happens again. So he was practicing walking on two feet in his crutches while he waited for them.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a girl around Aang's age walk out of the school in a hurry, a jacket on her body, hugging her waist. He raised an eyebrow at the suspicion- it was still well over 70°. He made his way - on one leg - to the girl, wobbling after her fairly quickly.

She stopped when a rock he threw hit her shoulder. She shut her eyes and turned around, her face angrier than Katara's when she got mad. "What?!" she snapped, her voice sharp and precise. She threw her hoodie over her head, beads of sweat dripping down her forehead, blinding her as they dripped into her eyes.

"Are you ok? Why are you wearing a jacket in such heat?" he asked, wobbling over to her on his crutches. She bit the inside of her cheek. "I'm just chilly. You know. Wind." He raised an eyebrow as she tightened her grip on her waist. "Woosh. Brr, it's cold. I better get going now."

He glared at her as she started to walk away. Then it clicked. The way she was holding her stomach; it's the way Katara holds her stomach when she feels insecure. He looked up at her with sympathetic eyes, watching her walk away, looking for the right thing to say.

"I'm saying this as nicely as I can without being disloyal to my girlfriend: You have nothing to be insecure about." She stopped walking as she heard him say that. "Everyone's unique, ok? My sister's always worrying that she's not good enough, and her boyfriend just manages to tell her she's perfect the way she is. And trust me, she is. But so are you."

She gently turned around and locked eyes with him. As the grey eyes locked with blue, she slowly smiled. "Really?" He nodded with a small smile. "Everyone's perfect in their own way. I'm sure one day you'll find the perfect guy or girl who'll love you for who you are." She smiled at him again as she slowly dropped her hands from her waist.

"It's not even that bad," he chuckled. She slowly took off her hood on her jacket, and once he could see all the acne on her face, he rolled his eyes. "Again, not that bad. I've seen a lot worse."

She smiled as she gently took off her jacket, holding it in her hands. He raised an eyebrow. "Please. She'd kill me for saying this, but you're prettier than Toph." She raised an eyebrow. "Toph Beifong? The Toph Beifong?" He nodded, dumbfound.

Then she saw his face and gasped. He rolled his eyes, groaning lightly. "Please, why is everyone so surprised to see us?" She gave him a look asking, "Are you crazy?" He gave her one back. "Wh- why? You guys ended the war!" He shrugged.

"True, we did." She smiled lightly. "And I'm pretty? Everyone you know's prettier than me." He gently rolled his eyes. "Suki, maybe. No offence. But everyone else, no. Anyways, what're you even insecure about?"

She bit the inside of her cheek and looked up at him as she put her jacket and hood back on, crossing her arms over her torso. He raised an eyebrow, not understanding a thing. "Your size?" She shook her head and sighed.
