Mangekyou Sharingan (MS) - Gives you access to powerful abilities (see below) on top of your normal sharingan and access to your Susanoo (see below) however, over usage of these eyes causes the user to gradually lose their eyesight blinding them faster the more they use it. If one obtains the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan (see below) this weakness is negated letting the user use the MS without any downsides.
