four.
→ → → →I chewed on my lip in a frustrated manor. I had texted my girlfriend, Karen, maybe fifteen minutes ago. I always had to wait for her to rush out of the building where her dorm was so she could sneak Jarred and I inside. Except tonight she was taking longer than usual. Way longer, actually. I was beginning to grow impatient and felt the urge to just leave. It would've been her lost anyway.
"Damn, where are they?" Jarred mumbles, obviously feeling my pain.
I shrug. "I don't know but we've been waiting for too long bro."
"Exactly." He merely said.
Five more minutes pass by before I decide to completely give up. "Fuck this." I mumble. Then I start my car up and put it in drive. Just as I'm about to pull off someone hits the side of the passenger window...hard. Looking out, my eyes lock with Karen's. I was relieved yet a little irritated.
"Where are you going?" Her voice was muffled but it was clear what she'd said. Stopping the car and turning it off for a second time, I get out with Jarred doing the same. Karen raised her eyebrows still waiting for an explanation.
"I texted you like twenty minutes ago Karen. You'd think you'd be considerate enough to get your ass out here. Especially when it's cold like this." I internally slapped myself for not wearing a coat.
"Well I had to make sure the coast was clear Justin. No need to get upset." She rolls her eyes. "By the way, hey Jarred."
Jarred gives her a mere nod about the same time I make it onto the sidewalk to stand next to them. It was then that I snake my arms around her waist and kiss her full on the mouth. It doesn't take long for her to kiss back. Just as she's about to deepen the kiss I pull back and she glares at me in confusion. "Oh yeah," I start. "Don't ever hit my window like that again." I give her butt a light tap before walking past her and into the direction of her building. I couldn't wait until I finally graduated this year so that I could be here and I wouldn't have to wait every weekend just to hangout with Karen. I was all for seeing her everyday of the week but she had a busy schedule and a lot of studying that the only time she would be free were on the weekends. Or on breaks which didn't work that much either because she'd always go visit her family instead.
Karen uses her school i.d. to swipe into the building. Then the three of us rush onto the elevator as she hits the button to the fifth floor. She moves over to me and presses her soft lips again my ear. "I missed you baby."
I grinned and placed my hands on her hips, pulling her into me. "I missed you too."
Jarred chuckles. "Can you two stop?"
Karen giggles and looks at him. "I'll be asking you the same thing when we get upstairs."
Jarred smirks knowing that she was talking about his girlfriend Tori. They've been together for two years now and I kind of met Karen through Tori eight months ago. We kicked it off a week after we met and pretty much have been dating since then.
We make it up finally and Karen already had her door cracked so we just slip inside. I give Tori a small wave when I walk in and see her sitting cross legged on her bed. She smiles and once she sees Jarred she jumps into his arms.
I plop down on Karen's bed.
"How was your game babe?" She crawls into my lap and locks her fingers around my neck.
"Intense." Was about the only word I could think of. "Thanks to Jarred's kick ass three pointer, we won."
"Well that's great to hear." Tori smiles. "Congrats babe."
