Sherlock used to be in his high school's theatre group. He did such a good job as playing Hamlet in 'Hamlet', the drama teacher him let choose a prop or costume to keep. He picked Yorick's skull. It now sits on 221b's mantlepiece. Sherlock has renamed it Billy the Skull.
