Ch.8

                                                   Hayden POV 

It was now night fall, I am thankful that no one has found me just yet, I needed time, I needed time to let the bones heal, 

And I needed time physically, this entire thing has just been plain exhausting, 

Suddenly Logan appeared in front of the cave, 

I stood up and growled 

"Easy kid it's just me, I told the others to go back to the mansion," He said 

I continued to growl, 

"Come on there is no need for this," He said 

he got down to my level so he wouldn't appear as threatening, my ears perked up, 

"That's it," He said 

He sat down next to me, 

I looked up at the stars, 

"Nice night huh," He said 

I just continued looking up, 

"Listen kid, your gonna have to change back, I have a blanket," Logan said 

I huffed not really in the mood for this conversation, 

I got up on all fours and started walking out of the cave, 

"Hey I get it you don't want to, but damn it stop being so damn stubborn!" He said 

I growled at him 

"I know you don't want to because it's too painful but your going to have to kid," He said 

I made a noise, 

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you just said something along the lines of F and you didn't you," He said glaring at me 

If I could I would have smirked, 

I looked up at the moon one last time and closed my eyes and let the pain start, 

Letting my screams echo in the forest, hearing the breaking of my own bones, after what seemed like hours, I was finally human again, with sweat covering my entire body, shallow breathing, 

"Here," He said wrapping me in the blanket 

He was about to pick me up, 

"I can walk I... I just need a minute," I said 

"You really don't like help do you," Logan said 

"And your really don't know when to give up do you?" I said standing up a little wobbly

"Here," He said taking my arm and wrapping it around his neck, 

The sheer contact was painful enough to make me want to scream, 

"You really need to learn to let people help you kid," He said 

"And you need to learn that some people just don't want help," I said glaring at the ground, 

"What's so bad about this place to you anyway?" He asked 

I was silent

"I just don't trust anyone here," I said 

Thinking about what all has happened in my life, what caused me to be like this, I thought 

Finally we made it through the front doors of the mansion, 

Logan looked up like he was thinking, 

"Charles wants to see you in the lab," He said 

"Do I have to," I said with annoyance 

"Sorry kid but you don't have much of a choice," He said 

"Of course I don't," I said 

He chuckled at me as we made our way down to the lab
