*Skylar's View*

A bell rang, making me wake up. I groaned as I sat up. I hate and love living in an old school. Dad's office is where the system that the bell is. At first, I had no clue why he kept the system, but he thought it would be a fun wake-up call. I fucking hate it!! "Good morning! SKYLAR! Time to get up for a fun day! I don't know what you are going to do today! But it's time to get up!" My dad yelled through my speaker.

I groaned as I plugged my ears. I have no clue how he hasn't broken the speaker yet. I took a breath in as I unplugged my ears. I have no clue why he is so loud. I threw the sheets off my body, making my body shiver.

I got off the bed and made my way into my bathroom. I closed and locked the door behind me. I stripped out of my clothes and put them into the hamper. After reliving myself and washing my hands, I put down a mat before climbing into my shower. I closed the curtain behind me and turned the water on.

After my shower, I turned the water off and opened the curtain. Steam is covering the mirror. I stepped onto the mat that is on the floor before I grabbed the towel. I started to dry my body off. Once my body was all the way dry, I walked over to the hamper. I put the damp towel into the hamper before walking into my closet. I looked around the room before I started to pull on clothes.

Once I pulled my shoes on, tied them, and tied the red plaid around my waist, I walked back into the bathroom

Once I pulled my shoes on, tied them, and tied the red plaid around my waist, I walked back into the bathroom. I grabbed my hairdryer and well, dried my hair. After drying my hair, I started to brush it. Once it was all smooth and knot-free, I grabbed a hair tie and started to put it up, so it's out of the way for my big day.

Once my hair was up and out of the way, I walked over to the bathroom door

Once my hair was up and out of the way, I walked over to the bathroom door. I unlocked it and pulled it open. I turned around and grabbed my hamper. I sighed and walked out of my room. "Good morning, Skylar. Would you like me to take that for you?" Lily asked.

I looked down at my hamper. "No, it's fine I got it," I said. "Nope, I will not let you wash your own clothes. Let me take care of your dirty clothes. You can go and be a kid." Lily said as she took my basket from my hands. I sighed as I looked at her. "Okay then," I said.

She smiled at me before she walked away from me. I sighed as I turned around and walked back to my room. I grabbed one of my smaller bags. I made sure my wallet was inside of the bag. Along with my phone, a small notebook, a pencil, my checkbook.

Once I made sure that everything that I need is in my bag, I walked out of my room and slowly made my way to the library

Once I made sure that everything that I need is in my bag, I walked out of my room and slowly made my way to the library. I own a wall that is covered with a shelf that is full of books. Even though the shelf is full of books, I still find new books in the library that catch my eye. There is this one book that I found that I wanted to try to read. It's called 'Out of my mind' by Sharon M. Draper.

If I read the description right, it's about a kid that can't talk or do anything on her own. When I got into the library, I looked at all the different books that I own. I love reading. If you didn't already know, that. My favorite ones are Goosebumps, Wonder, The land of stories series, The Fifth wave series........... I guess I like a bunch of different ones.

To be honest, I don't know why I walked into my library. Maybe just to make sure it's not a book that I own or have read before. I turned around to see Dad sitting on one of the many chairs with one of his books in his lap. "Hey, Skylar." He said when he saw me standing there.

"Hey, quick question. Can I go to the library? I know I have a lot of books here, but there is a new one that I found out about that I want to try to read." I said. "Yeah, you know the way there. Just be careful and if you need anything or if anything happens..........call me." He said. I gave him a look. "What I can be scary?" he said. He then gave me a look that always makes me smile and laugh.

I couldn't keep a straight face

I couldn't keep a straight face. "Fine, you win. But to me, you aren't scary, but I guys you can be to people that don't know you." I said. "You are god damn it." He said. I chuckled. "Well, I'll be back," I said as I slowly made my way to the door. "Call me if anything happens," Dad said. "Will do," I said as I started to walk down the hall. God, I have a weird family, but you have to love them.

"Skylar! Where are you going?" Zac asked as he ran up to me. I was somewhat close to the main doors of the building when he caught up to me.

"The library," I answered as I opened the door. "Oh, can I come?" He asked. I looked at him. "Sure, if it makes you feel better to be next to me on the streets of New York City," I said. He nodded his head. "It will make me feel better," he said. I rolled my eyes at him as we walked out of the building.
