Chapter 9: Divided We Fall

They hit the walls and were glued in place by the energy waves, Millie then rose from the ground, the red mist, in its raw form pours out from her body as the golden mist weaves its way through the veins in her arms into her hands. "Millie!" Bucky calls out to her, but she lands back onto her feet and slams the golden mist into her head, making her scream out in pain.

She rips her hands away, making another blast wave from her body, jerking the men against the wall as the red mist rose into the air and flows back into Millie's body as did the golden mist it then vanishes without a trace as she collapses onto her side, the three dropped back down onto the ground and the two ran to her side, "Millie!" Bucky calls out to her as he pulls her into his arms.

Steve stood over them as Tony pulled himself back onto his feet and looks down at them, "Millie...!" Bucky kept trying to shake Millie awake, but she was non-responsive to his attempts and limp in his arms.

So his rage took over and he aims his arc pulse. Steve heard the sound then turns and immediately pulls up the shield. Sending him flying back. Bucky looks back at Tony and went to fire at him, but Tony grips hold of him and rip him away from Millie, sending him flying back.

Zemo took his chance and makes his escape, Tony charges at him, towering the man over him as he raised his arc pulser at him. But Steve threw his shield at him, throwing him off, and turns his attention back onto him as Rogers charges right at him and knocks him back.

But Tony knocks him right down and fires leg restricting locks as they locked onto Steve's legs, then Bucky charges right at him, but Tony catches him and flew him back onto one of the pods and held his arc pulse in Bucky's face.

With a quick grip of his arm, Bucky turns the arc pulse away and crushes it in his hand. So he resorted to plan b and used his missiles, but Bucky pointed them away as they fired. Steve took out the leg restraints and pulls himself onto his feet, the facility began to come apart thanks to the missiles and one came towering down onto Tony and Bucky.

Steve rolls out of the way as Tony drops Bucky, who then rolls out of the way, and Tony himself got trapped under the rusty old metal. Then the other pod fell apart as the two old men stood up and looked at each other "Take Millie and get out of here!" Steve orders.

Bucky nods at him and took off running, he headed towards Millie and pulls her up onto his shoulder, and took off running. But Tony flew out and tried to stop him, but misses and Steve jumps out, blocking his path. Bucky hits the button on the sidewall and opens the hanger door above them.

Tony engages his thrusts as Steve tries to reason with them, "It wasn't them, Tony. Hydra had control over their minds!" he tries to get through to him. "Move!" Tony orders him, trying to fly past him, "It wasn't them!" Steve calls out again, gripping his leg, and stops him. He then breaks the thruster off.

Making him fly back onto the ground, Tony glares back at him, the fired a red laser into the works above them, and blocks off Steve as he jumps for him. Then Tony turns back to Bucky as he was making his way up top with Millie over his shoulder. "Left boot jet failing," Friday warns him as he fires his thrusters and flew up, trying to catch them. "Flight systems compromised," she warns him again as he makes it to one platform. "Ah, crap," he mutters, looking up.

Bucky secured Millie on his shoulder tightly, he then looks down, seeing Tony was catching up to him as he kept climbing up, so he makes the jump and flung Millie on top of the platform he hung into, but Tony flew right at him and smacks his arm into him, sending him flying back and he smacks into the wall and lands on the platform.

He groans and looks up, seeing Tony was aiming his arc pulser right at him, but Steve flips into the air and lands in front of Bucky, shielding him as Tony fired and send the arc pulse right back at him.
