08: Trust?

Levi POV

"Hey Levi, can we really trust them? I honestly don't want you going to do this" Eren said as we both walked into the kitchen. "I trust it. I can feel that they're telling the truth. Besides, I want to protect you" I said holding one of his cheeks.

I feel that I made him feel a bit flustered since he quickly jumped and started moving around like crazy.

"A-anyway, are you seriously doing this tomorrow? Am I gonna be here all alone? Or should I go out?" He quickly asked. "No, you'll stay in my bunker" I said pouring some tea. "Bunker? I've never heard of this 'bunker' of yours" A confused Eren said.

"Exactly, I never mention it in case of emergency. What if someone comes in? I'm gonna need to hide you so they won't find you" I said taking a sip from my tea. "What about my friend? Mikasa? Is she gonna be in danger?" Eren asked sadly. "I don't want to make you sad" I said slowly walking towards him.

"I'll be sure to do all the dangerous things so you won't get hurt. I'll make sure I stay unharmed" I said. "But I want you to stay safe too! You can't promise something you can't keep!" Eren snapped. "I made a promise brat, I swore to protect you. Your parents left you with me for that reason" I said rather coldly.

I walked back into the living room where Hanji and Moblit were sitting on the couch. "Hey, are you in? We have to take the queen down as soon as possible" Hanji said. "Yes, I'll help your stupid plan" I said looking her in the eye. "Perfect! Now let's get that other Ackerman and get to the castle" She said jumping with excitement.

Eren heard us and just stood there sadly.

"Eren, get in the bunker under my bed" I told him. "No, I'm coming. I want to try to protect you too" He resisted. "Eren, I don't have time for this. I'm doing this for you" I said walking up to him. "I know! and I feel awful for not doing anything for you in return! I want to make you happy! I want to protect you like you did for me! I'm not a little kid anymore, I'm almost 17 years old" He yelled.

"Hanji, both of you wait outside" I said. "Alright...." She replied as she slowly walked outside with Moblit.

I held Eren with my arms and pulled him in a hug.

"Levi....you mean so much to me....you can't just leave someone and tell them to stay safe and not worry about you....you can't leave me" He cried. "I'm sorry brat, it's hard for me too, but I care about you so much, and I don't want to put you in great danger" I said looking up at his beautiful green eyes.

"Please....let me go with you....if not for me, but for you" Eren asked again.

"Fine, just don't ruin anything" I said.
