13: Pinky Promise

Levi POV

"You damn brat, I promised to protect you, yet I failed" I sadly said holding his hand. "Mr. Levi...." Eren whispered. "What is it you damn brat...?" I asked while tears began forming from my eyes. "I remember now...." He said.

"I understand now....they asked very deep questions about me protecting Eren with my life. They acted very strange and I could tell there was something wrong. This was my fault. I should have said something"

"Our promise, I remember now..." He whispered as tears also formed under his eyes. "What...?" I asked.

"It's okay Eren.....It's  okay....I'm here for you, and always will be....."

" You promise me one thing Mr. Levi....?"

Erens breathing became more slowly but he still tried to comfort me.

"Let's make a pinky promise, that we'll never leave each other"

"I'm sorry I forgot about it...." Eren said trying to stand up. "Hey! What are you saying?!" I asked. "Let's make a pinky promise....that we'll never leave each other" He said raising his pinky.

I did as he asked and we both held pinky's. "Eren, if you go....I'm going with you. I'll always be with you" I said. "I don't want you to die" Eren said smiling slightly. "Then live! Not for me, but for yourself!" I yelled. "Levi...." Eren whispered.

"Eren, I love you. I've only ever realized it when I found out just how much I care about you" I said final admitting this in front of him. "Y-You don't know how happy I am to hear that...." Eren said holding my cheeks. "I feel the same way....Levi" Then finally, he closed his eyes.
