Katie was not expecting to go to Seattle. She was confused why they drove a few miles away form Forks, but she didn't ask. Whatever it was could be explained later. "Katie, we're checking in the hotel till we hear from Edward."

"Why did we go to Seattle?"

"You don't remember this place." Jasper asked her as she shook her head. "This was the last place you saw your dad alive. Edward wanted you somewhere where you feel safe at."

"My dad's home isn't far from here." She tells them. "I miss him and I still don't think he is dead."

Alice gasped causing Katie to walk over with Jasper. She saw the room that Alice started to sketch after Jasper handed her the sketch pad. Katie realized the room because of the teddy bear. "That's my room." She tells them. "From my childhood."

Sometime later, Katie was sleeping when Edward called. "Katie." She heard Jasper say and looked up. "Edward wants to talk to you."

"Edward?"

"Hey, baby. James got away."

"Oh." She said. "I love you."

"I promise you that when this is over, we are going somewhere. Anywhere that you want. I love you." Katie had tears in her eyes. "You're crying?"

"I'm sure its called hormones." She tells him. "Can I go for a walk? Daddy's house isn't to far from where we're at and I want to find a clue that dad is alive."

"Sure, but let Jasper go with you."

"Okay."

Katie hung up and sighed. She just wanted to go straight there and back. She has a feeling that something was left there for her and then there is James. He will be waiting for her. She didn't know what to do till a call came in. "Hello."

"Katie?"

"Jessica, I'm going to dad's to see if there was a not or something left behind."

"Where are you? Katie?"

Katie heard his voice and knew. James may have her cousin.

About three hours, Katie somehow snuck out, but didn't know that Alice saw and told Edward where she was going. The same place she was going. When Edward arrived he heard screaming. "No." Edward said as he ran inside and saw Katie scream with her wrist bleeding.

Edward attacked James as Katie cried and screamed in pain. She couldn't see anything as her vision was blurry. All she knows, she fought back the best she could. Katie saw Edward come into view and smiled before she blacked out.

Katie woke up and looked around her. She saw that she was in the hospital and the one person she didn't want to see walked in. "Thank god, you're okay."

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"I came because you were attacked by an intruder."

"I don't care." Katie says. "You wanted me to kill my child, you hated that I ruined your life, so why come to the child you wanted to hurt."

"Katie, I am sorry and want to be involved in your life and your handsome boyfriend."

"You are one disgusted woman." Katie said. "Don't think that I know about what you did to the boy who took advantage of me. He wrote a letter to me explaining what actually happened. Get the hell out of my life."

Her mom was shocked as her daughter looked at the man in the corner with so much love to see him awake. She knew she screwed up and now her daughter doesn't want her in her life, but she knew she needed help and left. Katie started crying as Edward kissed her. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, but..."

"He's dead." Edward tells her.

"The baby."

"Is perfect, but we don't know if the venom got to the baby or not. Carlisle said we won't know till the baby is born." He tells her. "I thought I almost lost you. I love you."

"I love you." She said. "So are you taking me to prom?"

Edward laughed as he kissed her. After what she had just went through, she was not afraid, but he does have something to present to her. "Yes, but you need to read this."

"Okay."

Katie,
I know if your reading this, that means your either looking for answers or is in danger. I wanted to come and see you when I found out that you are Edward's mate, but I was afraid you will be pissed. Just know that I do love you and when the time comes, I will be there for you. I promise. Plus, you get to meet my beautiful mate.
