Katie was looking at a magazine on nursery's when she felt a gust a wind making her look up. There in her room was the last person she thought would show up. "Rosalie?" Katie said as she laid the book down. "What are you doing here?" When nothing was said Katie went back to looking in her book.

"I don't know why I came here." She said. "I do know one thing is that what you are carrying is something I always wanted."

Katie patted a spot on her bed making Rosalie sit down. "I'm sorry for what I said, but I don't want this life for you." She said. "You are carrying the most, wonderful gift that any human can have, but your throwing it all away." Katie stared at the blonde. "Give me one reason. One reason why you want to throw your life away."

Katie thought about it. One reason. She didn't care about the beauty or the youth, but it was Edward. "Edward is my reason." She started out. "I never thought I would find love till I came here. I can careless about the beauty or the youth you guys possess. It's him. He is my one and only reason."

Rosalie smiled at how passionate this girl was. "Okay, I think someone should tell you the rules and since Edward won't tell you, but you have rights to know."

"Okay. I'm listening."

Next day, Katie walked downstairs to hear a knock on her door. She walked over and opened it to see Edward. "Hi." She said. Edward walked by her and sat down making her walk over to him. "Edward, is something wrong?"

"I read Rosalie's mind." Katie nodded. "I don't know what to say. I don't won't this life for you, but here you are. Wanting to be like us because of me."

Katie straddled him and cupped his face making him look at her. "Edward, you have no idea why I want to be with you." She tells him. "Alice had told me stories about how long you were without a mate. How seeing everyone around you have theirs. I'm here now and I'm not leaving till you tell me too."

"I would never." He tells her. "I couldn't do that to you."

Katie kissed him. "Good cause I wouldn't have left."

Edward kissed her making her smile. He pulled away and noticed the book on the table. Grabbing it and reading the front made him smile. Nursery's for the baby. Katie took the book away making him look up at her. She moved off of him and cuddled up to him.

Katie smiled as her and Edward arrived at the field for a game of ball. Katie was curious as to how they play. Kissing Edward's cheek made him smile. Esme hugged the young girl making Edward smile as he ran to the center of the field. He watched as Katie and Esme interacted and how Rosalie looked at his mate with a small smile. "Looks like Rosalie is warming up to Katie." Emmett tell him.

"Yeah." He replied. "I think Katie said something last night that changed everything around. Rosalie is slowly warming up to Katie."

The sound of thunder made the Cullens know that it was time for their game. Katie stayed behind Esme as Alice pitched the first ball. She has never seen nothing like this, but it was the most amazing thing that could happen. Katie laughed at some of the things that was happening till that smile faded as she locked eyes with Alice.

Edward noticed the look on Katie's face. "Stop!"

Edward was by Katie's side quickly. She may not have a strong scent, but nomads don't care. "Katie, I need you to be relaxed..."

"Edward, listen to my heart for a second.' She said making him listen. Katie was calm. "Don't panic. Please."

Edward nodded and held her close. Katie smiled as she leaned her head on his chest and looked out towards the tree lines. Any second, they will come. She knew there will be danger, but there is nothing that can be done now. Katie Stanley will be strong for the Cullens and her and the baby's sake.
