This was the second time.
Second time where Rahul has said goodbye to her.

Only this time, they were not contestants in some freaking reality show.

They were in love, for real, head over heels in love in this cruel world.

A world where people thrives on other's misery. A world where people enjoys breaking other's dream, snatch away their happiness and burden them with their expectations and cruelty.

People, who are incapable of understanding the concept of personal choice and loving someone truly.

People like her younger sister who in spite of knowing everything about Rubina's life, witnessing most of the stuff first hand still couldn't move on.

The last three years had been a brutal rollercoaster for Rubina.

First year she had tried to celebrate her win against all the hate.

Second year, she had fought for her right to appreciate something... someone without being accused or controlled for changing her opinion of someone's talent, for understanding her own mistakes and trying to be a better person.

Last year she had turned her whole life upside down.

She had moved out of their house, bought her own apartment, legally separated from her ex and kept that news hidden, secret from the media's ruthless glare. Even had a major fallout with her own parents just cause they were against her choice, her decisions... her love.

Her love for a man, who unknowingly has changed her, for the better and has made her truly happy.

A man who cares for her without caring about his own reputation. A man, whom she trusts, not blindly but truthfully. A man who wants to be with her only if she wants to be with him... willingly. A man who knows her better than she knows herself.

A man, who loves her more than she deserves.

A man, who has been humiliated in Rubina's apartment, by her own sister, where Rubina had promised him a few weeks ago that she would never hurt him. Not again.

And yet the promise has been broken.

And for what?

Sensational articles? Controversial headlines? Hateful comments? Being called a cheater?

Or simple hatred for the man.

Even as Rubina's eyes welled up with tears, she refused to break down. The more she kept staring at the closed door, the more her resolve strengthened instead of being weakened.

The words Rahul had spoken on their way back from the airport, were imprinted in her brain.

She didn't even need to recall them. His each and every word for her always echoes in her head whenever she finds herself alone.

So how dare anyone... anyone speak such insulting, brutal, hurtful things to her man?

Nobody has any right to speak ill about Rahul in front of Rubina.

Nobody.

Whirling around on her spot, Rubina glared at her sister with barely controlled anger. She needed some answers and she needed them, now!

"Give me a good reason for all this shit that you've pulled right now." Rubina said visibly shaking in anger.

As her sister opened her mouth to utter the first word, Rubina interrupted immediately.

"The reason better not be the bloody media or your concern for my reputation." Rubina declared gritting her teeth.

Her sister's mouth clicked shut hearing those words. Instead, Rubina's manager finally got up from the couch and took a few steps towards Rubina.
