Chapter 17

Chaeyoung immediately rushed to the washroom to calm herself down. Jungkook does know how to make her heart flutter and for the nth time, she admits he does that so easily. Just as she got out of the cubicle, she heard two girls talking.

"Do you know the girl Jungkook is talking to with right now ?"

"No, but he seems close with the girl."

"She is Eunbi. She was close with Jungkook. She was the only girl friend he was comfortable with. Then after she left I guess? I am not sure but looks like she is back... "

Chaeyoung knew eavesdropping is wrong but she couldn't think straight not when Jungkook is being mentioned in the conversation that too with another girl...

"No wonder he hugged her and was so touchy.."

"Who knows, they might be a couple this time-"

With that Chaeyoung banged the door, and left the washroom. She couldn't even imagine the scene of him with another girl.

'Was he playing this all while with me' she thought, but she slumped her shoulders thinking that 'why is she even feeling this way when they are not even in a relationship or not even close..' with that she left the washroom with confusing thoughts all over her head. 

Just as she got outside, she was Jungkook dancing with 'Eunbi' or whatever girl. She was in no position to get pissed but something tugged her heart as soon she saw him smiling wildly and had his hands on her hips while the girl had ie her arm around her neck. She smiled bitterly at the scene.

'why am I feeling like this..? this isn't right, I am not supposed to fall for a guy, who I don't even know properly'

She was about to leave when one of her male classmates offered a dance. Being the nice, sweet girl, she accepted and went dancing with the guy.

'Chaeyoung, this is for the best, it's still not too late to get him off your mind...'

God knows how much she tried her best not to eye the guy that was a little far from dancing with a girl, but she betrayed herself while she was in the arms of another guy. 

Jungkook smiling at the girl, his smile seems genuine, not like the nervous smile he gives to her. 

Chaeyong sighed and excused herself from the guy she is dancing with and went outside. She sat at the bench and calmed her heart which was rapidly pounding as if it ould come out of its cage any minute. 

Her thoughts got so into her that she didn't even realize that everyone was gradually leaving the party. She suddenly remembered that Jungkook wanted to meet her after the party. She wanted to leave but she just couldn't leave the bench, her thoughts eating her up. 

She felt Jungkook approaching. 

She exhaled deeply. 

'that's it Chaeyoung, it's now or never..' 

"Chae-" before he could even begin she cut him off. 

Of course, she lied to him. She could see how Jungkook's eyes looked so confused as if knowing she was intentionally shutting him off. His eyes trying to read her like, as if he did something wrong to hurt her upset her. 

Chaeyoung didn't wanna see his face anymore, it made her feel more and more confused, and that expression on his face, when she said no, ripped her heart as she walked away.

I feel like we needed her whole perspective regarding this whole situation before someone jumped to any conclusion. So here is her pov.
