Even after Jungkook denying for her help, Chaeyoung still insisted on helping him and arranged the bowls and plates on the dining table. The electricity was still cut off so their dinner was sorta in the candlelight. They were still unsure of how long they will have to rely on an emergency light, so for the dinner, they thought of turning it off and relying on candles instead to save it.
So once they got seated to have a meal, Jungkook initiated the conversation.
"Chaeyoung, I think we have a lot to discuss and be sure before taking things further or not," he stated biting his lips in the process.
Chaeyoung definitely ain't dumb to ask about what "further" he was talking about. Anyone can figure it out after all the weird sexual tension they have. Chaeyoung just remained silent and let him continue.
"Let's start with the party, when I said that I wanted to talk to you about something after the party would be over, I was not making anything up, I did have something I wanted to talk about seriously," he said sighing.
"And I know you also wanted to know about what was it." he continued. "Until, well.." he looked away to the window.
"Until what Jungkook ?" Chaeyoung asked back. Looking at his eyes.
Jungkook gulped before continuing.
"Until you saw me dancing with Eunbi." he finally said. Chaeyoung raised her eyebrows at his response.
Chayoung was about to open her mouth when Jungkook stopped her.
"I didn't mean to portray you as the jealous one, but I know you were somewhat bothered about it. Eunbi is just a friend that I had for a long. She had graduated already, she was here for a small vacation and just stopped by the freshers cause alumnis have a free pass." he finished it one go.
"She and I were close when she was still here. People around me are taking that friendship relationship to something else. I know a lot of gossips was spreading about me right under my nose. But Chaeyoung, you can always come and question me about it, okay?" he continued taking advantage of her silence.
"What relationship do we have, Jungkook?" she asked back straight. "I can't question you and your actions when we don't have a label, to begin with. Yes, I was upset about you dancing with her. But we just met like a few weeks ago, Jungkook" she said that a little loudly but she looked away.
"I can't come to you and drag your collar and ask you who you were with and why" she continued. "We met just a few weeks back, I don't know you well nor do you know me that well to jump to any conclusion. We believe what we see at the moment." she was annoyed at him.
She was angry and he shouldn't be the irrational one here and he knew it very well.
"You can come and ask me anytime about it, Chaeyoung." Jungkook began softly and caressed her hand. "You are special to me and I give you that right to question me. I knew you would rather ignore me forever than ask after seeing you angry." he chuckled a little.
Chaeyoung just rolled her eyes in return. But he can sense that she was happy with clearing some air. A tint blush on her cheeks proved his point.
"And well I am not ashamed about saying this, but yes I was definitely jealous when I saw you with guys back in the party, while I was dancing," he added which made her blush more.
"And that's because..?" she questioned back again. She was pushing him to say it at this point and he was loving it.
He laughed and stood up from his seat. He went to her side and was on his knees. Chaeyoung just stared at him as he took her hand.
