Chapter 16

Jungkook sighed looking at Chaeyoung's back. He still quietly followed her from behind. He doesn't know why is she mad at him. He is still trying to remember what he did to piss her off to this extent but he doesn't remember a thing.

FLASHBACK

Just as Jungkook entered the hall he was bombarded with questions by his friends. He smoothly made an excuse about his mother calling him which all of them were okay with.

Yugyeom on the other hand couldn't believe as he saw Chaeyoung also entering the hall after few minutes right after Jungkook with red blushed cheeks. Jungkook also was glowing a little differently as he entered the hall. So he was sure the two of them were together. 'Are they for real dating now..?' But he shook his thoughts. He was aware of the fact that Jungkook indeed was whipped for her. Just by her being in the same campus as his was enough for Jungkook to squeal like a kid. He had noticed his friend smiling like an idot which was completely new of him. 'He is such a coward to admit and tell her..' Yugyeom thought shaking his head. 

Jungkook was talking to Eunwoo when he felt a pat on his shoulder. He turned around to see a brunette, tall girl girl smiling at him. "Do you remember me Jungkook ?" the girl said looking at him. Jungkook frowned first but his eyes widened as he remembered the girl. "Eunbii ?" Jungkook asked loudly. The girl laughed at his reaction and nodded, "yes, its me Kook. Missed me ?" the girl playfully winked. "Of course I did." with that Jungkook hugged the girl. Eunbi was one of the closest friends of Jungkook. When he was new to the university, Eunbi and him would often go to various places and have fun. But, she had to leave the country itself as her whole family moved because of work. Jungkook was indeed upset that the girl that he was so comfortable to be around with was gonna leave her but his now squad made him better. 

"I am amazing Jungkook." Eunbi patted his broad shoulders as they broke the hug. "How are you here and why didn't you inform me about you being back ?" Jungkook asked being excited. "Well, I am not officially back. I was just here for a small vacation. I didn't know the uni was gonna hold a party for freshers, but since I am an alumni I thought I would get a free pass. Plus, I wanted to surprise you." Eunbi said ruffling his his hair. 

"Ayyy, Don't touch my hair." Jungkook pouted. "Who do you wanna impress with that hair ? I thought you didn't give a fuck about anything." Eunbi asked. "Well, being the student council president, I have to look good." Jungkook said cockily.  "That's bullshit. You think I will believe that ?" Eunbi asked raising her eyebrows. "Then, what do you think ?" Jungkook asked again. "I don't know but you are glowing Jungkook. But in a good way. You seem more happy and bubbly." Eunbi said. "You mean I changed ?" Jungkook asked. "Yes, before you were kinda the stoic guy, very serious but right now you genuinely seem happy." Eunbi moved forward and whispered in his ears, "Tell me who's the lucky girl ?" "Lucky what ?" Jungkook asked looking away. Eunbi just rolled his eyes. 

"Anyways, everyone is dancing. Jungkook let's dane." Eunbi said dragging his arm to which Jungkook obliged. He danced with her. Eunbi insisted him to spill about the special person who changed him but Jungkook still denied. Eunbi still asked him more to which Jungkook grew tired. "Is she here ?" come on show me who is it." Eunbi said. Jungkook looked around to see Chaeyoung dancing with a guy. He frowned looking at the girl.  Eubi looked at where Jungkook is looking to see a beautiful tall brown haired girl dancing with a guy. Eunbi cleared her throat and whispered in his ears, "You are jealous, aren't you ?" Jungkook rolled his eyes and said, "No". "Oh just stop denying it already. Just tell her that you like her Kook. She really is so adorable and I am sure she is amazing to have around too." Jungkook remained silent. "I know you are not fond of these things but trust me you will get used to it." Eunbi sighed. "She will slip away from your hand and you will not be able to do anything about it." Jungkook looked around to see Chaeyoung only to not find her and the guy she was dancing with. 

"I am not sure about what to say. What if she doesn't like me ?" Jungkook said looking at the ground now. Eunbi again rolled her eyes, "How will you know about that if you don't even wanna say ?" Jungkook just bit his lower lip. "I was thinking about telling her today after the party but she was dancing with a guy-" "The key word is 'was thinking' and you haven't done it yet." Eunbi cut him off. "Don't delay it anymore." Jungkook just nodded. They talked about all the other things while dancing and having a good chat. 

Once the party was almost gonna be over, Eunbi left the party bidding her farewell. Jungkook made sure his friends leave the party too. He wanted to accompany Chaeyoung and wanted to talk to her. ' I hope she hasn't left the party...' Jungkook muttered to himself once he checked the place. He went outside the hall to see Chaeyoung seated in a bench. He noticed that she was waiting all this while for him.  He cursed himself for making the girl wait. 

"Hey--" Chaeyoung cut him off before he could even continue. "I am actually quiet tired right now. I don't fancy parties since I am to used to it. I will leave." with that Chaeyoung swiftly turned around to walk away. Before she could leave, Jungkook again caught her hand. "fine, but at least let me walk with you to your dorm." Chaeyoung removed his hand from his grasp and shook her head. "I will be fine." she softly said. She somehow looked sad and her expression was blank.  Jungkook on the other hand really wanted to know what happened. He was gonna follow her but Chaeyoung glared at him. He sighed and let her walk.
