Fred's Point of View

"Oi! George! Come here. I want for Y/N to see how much more handsome I am than you." "Okay, brother, but I'm afraid you might get your feelings hurt." He came and sat down by me, in front of Y/N. "Hmm. I mean, you two look pretty similar, but i'm sorry George, Fred is pretty hot. I mean, what's not to like?" she winked as she said that, then turned back to Ginny. My stomach did a gymnastics routine. George nudged me with his elbow. "I think Freddie has found himself a girlfriend," he said under his breath. "No no no, she's just a friend." "Ugh! C'mon. She's nice, funny, and pretty good looking." "You've got a point there, but no."

After dinner, I pulled Y/N into a corner. "Hey, thanks for humbling George." "Nah, I wasn't lying. But, you're welcome anyway." I chuckled, staring down at my hands. "Well, I need to go up to bed now. Goodnight, Weasley." She gave me a quick peck on the cheek, before marching out of the room. I gawked at her, amazed. She was truly something.

"I have decided who my prank will be pulled on" George announced, as I climbed into bed. "Who will suffer the wrath of George Weasley?" I asked. "Y/N. It will be pulled tomorrow to show my friendship. "Uh, George, I'm not sure she'll like that." "Who cares? You're just friends anyway, right?" He said, smirking. We were just friends, but I have to admit, there is chemistry between us. But I couldn't say that in front of him, so I just nodded. It had barely been two days, and I already mucked up our friendship. I climbed under the covers, trying to hide from what was to come tomorrow.

I figured I better be nice to her, considering what was going to happen today. "Hey! Y/N!" I shouted, as I saw her sitting with her friends at the lunch table. "Can I sit here?" "Of course." She scooted over and patted the bench. Unfortunately, there was not a whole lot of room on the bench, so we had to cram together. "What's up?" she asked as I pushed toast into my mouth. "Nofin' mush," I said, trying to swallow my food. Lavender giggled, and Y/N was trying to hold in her laughter. "Sorry- what was that?" I gulped, and said "Nothing much." "Oh. Well I-" But I will never know what she was going to say, because right then, George came skipping over. "Hello Y/N. Hello Fred." I nodded, and Y/N said "Why hello there." "Hey, so I was wondering if you wanted to meet me in the library after lunch?" Y/N looked at me, and furrowed her eyebrows. "Um, sure?" "Okay, great!" he said, before skipping back to where Harry and Ron were sitting. "What was that all about?" she asked. I could only shake my head, unable to say anything.

As lunch approached, I got anxious. Y/N has become such a fun person to be around, the thought of losing her to a stupid prank made me sad- and angry. We had made so much progress just for George to mess everything up. I loathed him for it.

"Hey! Fred!" Y/N said, at lunch time. "Hey, aren't you supposed to be with George?" "Yeah, but I wanted to say hi to you first." "Oh." "Well, hi and bye. I've got to go now." I grasped her hand just as she turned away. I started into her eyes, just now noticing noisy how pretty she was. "Are you checking me out?" My face turned bright red, and I looked down. She giggled, "I'm just kidding. But i've actually got to go now." She pulled away and walked towards the library.

"Fred, are you alright? You've barley even talked or eaten your food," Ginny said, with concern in her voice. "What? Yeah. I'm fine. Absolutely fine." What a lie. I was really thinking about what could be going down at the library with Y/N and George. What if he let a dung bomb loose right in her face? Or, he gave her the potion that makes tour voice go squeaky. There was no limit to what he could be doing, which scared me. I did care about Y/N, and I wanted our friendship to go further, but it seems fate is not on our side.

Lunch seemed to go by very quick, considering I was dreading the end of it. Maybe, she wouldn't be mad at me, only George. Though that was impossible, I still had hope. Maybe he wouldn't even prank her, maybe he just wanted to get to know her. That was also unlikely, which made me even more angry.

I decided I'd better eat some, so I wasn't starving throughout the rest of my lessons. I didn't have much appetite, though. I could hardly force anything down without gagging. "Fred, I think you need to see the nurse. You usually eat like there's no tomorrow, but you can't even swallow your pudding!" "No I'm fine. Seriously. Just anxious." She placed her hand on mine. "You'll be alright, Fred. Now eat up." I did as told, even though it was hard.

I did feel better after I ate, but I was still anxious. There was about ten minutes until lunch ended, so I was going to have to face Y/N soon.
