Lavenders POV

I feel so bad ghosting Y/n. But I cannot keep a secret, and I could not let this one spill.

Fred had came to me, asking how Y/n felt about me. I didn't want to tell him how she said she loved him, for her privacy, so I just said that she likes him. All throughout the rest of the day, he was smiling.

Meanwhile, Y/n was a wreck. She was so upset about me and Fred not talking to her. She has good reason, but this would make her happier than it's making her sad.

I ended up giving in and talking to her, careful not to share anything about Valentine's day.

"Hey." I said to her.

She looked up, and hugged me.

"WHY WOULD YOU IGNORE ME? I mean thank God you're back, BUT WHY?"

I just winked.

Fred's POV

I hated ghosting Y/n. It gave me this strange pit in my stomach. I absolutely hated it. I wanted it gone as soon as possible, and that would be tomorrow.

I made sure everything was absolutely perfect by sneaking through the secret passages and into Hogsmeade. I informed the people there, who have grown to like me, and I told them there would be benefits if they helped me out. They said that love is love, and that they would do it for free.

I thanked them all of their help, and left. I was careful not to be seen by Snape, for her likes to potrol this portion of the castle.

I snuck out back in, checking the Marauders map, and strangely enough, he was in Dumbledores office. I didn't worry about that for too long, though, because I saw McGonagall walking towards my general direction. I hurried to the stairs, and went up them as fast as I could, skipping two at a time. I made it to the Common Room safely, but just barely.

I set out my favorite pair of robes when I
got back, so they would be ready in the morning. I brushed my teeth for two minutes longer than I usually do, trying to get them pearly white. I even brushed my hair, which was a rare occurrence. I was so excited.

The next day, I got up in a rush for no particular reason. I got ready, and headed into the common room to do some light reading— a hobby I had recently taken up, specifically because Y/n was a bookworm and I wanted more things in common between us.

Once it was a reasonable time to go down and eat breakfast, I attempted to tidy my hair once more. It wouldn't stay down, but maybe Y/n likes it this way. I sure hope so, because even with the most efficient of gels, it would not stay down.

I ate everything wasn't nailed down. I had toast, pancakes, waffles, roles, sausage, and bacon. Man, was I stuffed. But I continued eating—something I do when I am stressed.

About half an hour later, McGonagall started taking roll of everybody going. I saw Y/n enter the back of the line, wearing a beautiful pink dress that suited her amazingly. It made her figure stand out. It fit her hips just right. It was tight at the top lut gradually for looser. She matched it with a pair of cream high heels, and a black handbag. Merlin.

I slipped out of line and joined her. She ignored me at first, before turning at me.
"Why have you been ignoring me?" She asked angrily.
"Well, I had to perfect today's big surprise, obviously."
She raised her eyebrows, and I bent down to her level to whisper, "Walk with me and you'll see." Her eyes widened and she nodded.

We entered Hogsmeade, and I grabbed her hand.  "Oh, by the way, you look lovely." She ducked her head to hide her blush, but I could still see it.
She looked up at me, smiling. Thank Merlin I got her back.
"Would you like to go to the Three Broomsticks?" I asked politely.
    "I would love to."
"Good, because we sorta have to." She cocked her head in confusion, and I shrugged with a sly smirk on my face.
We walked down the road, and I heard her shoes click and clack every time she out one put one foot in front of the other. She also smelled strongly of roses, which I was not mad about. Roses were my favorite. Well, now they were.
We approached the building, and I slowed down so I could blindfold her with my hands.
"Trust me. I won't let you bump into anything."
I guided her towards the door slowly. I could feel hey eyelashes moving against my hands, trying to peek, but she was unable to.
We went inside the building, and it was completely empty, per my request.
I aimed her in the right direction, and took my hands off of her eyes. She stood there in silence as she stared at the giant banner that read 'Y/n, will you go out with me?' It was also decorated with an array of balloons and flowers, most of them being rose gold, which she had mentioned was her favorite color.
She stared in silence. I was afraid I had moved too fast or possibly done too much.
"It's alright if you say no, Y/n. I will understand. I also understand if you think this is moving way too fast-" But I didn't get to finish my sentence, because she came up to me and interrupted me with a kiss.

It was light at first, before I deepened it. She threw her arms around my neck, and I picked her up. I set her back down before cupping her face in my hands, swaying to the gentle melody playing in the background.
We stayed like that for a very long time, before the owner finally said, "Romance is not dead. Now, will you please finish that elsewhere, or sit down and, I don't know, order something?" I reluctantly pulled myself away from her and led her to a table near the window.
