A/N- Okay so the first off of my story is nit the best, but stick around because it'll get better <3 Also, this chapter will be kinda short

Y/n's POV

I kept trying to get Lav on her own so I could tell her the deal was off. But, she seemed to be everywhere I was not.

"Lavender!" I yelled, finding her sitting beneath a large oak tree outside, studying.
"Y/n? Why are you yelling at me?"
"Deals off. I'm not betting on Fred Weasley anymore."
I expected her to be angry, and to push me to keep the bet going. But instead, she just blinked and nodded.
"Thank Merlin, Y/n. It's so obvious you like him, I was worried that you weren't gonna call it off."
I blushed a deep red, looking down at my feet. I didn't want to deny it, because a part of me knew what she was saying was true. But I wasn't ready to admit that.
"Well.. if that's all I will be going now." She kissed me in the cheek and rushed forward.
She always does that— kisses me on the cheek. I know it's platonic but it's always been rather strange to me.

As I walked back inside, it felt as though a huge weight had been lifted from my chest. I was glad I was free of that stupid bet. I was also glad that I wasn't just befriending Fred for the money. A small pet of me convinced myself that was the reason I enjoyed her presence so much, but I figured out it's not.
