Mick and I were woke up by my son and brother coming to the room. Isaiah had jumped on the bed, accidentally landing on mine and Mick's ankles.

"Isaiah. What is it baby?" I let out tiredly.

"Hi mommy." He said happily.

"'Saiah, what's got you so hyper? Did you just get home? Have you done your homework?" I asked, visually checking on Mick to make sure he was okay.

He shakes his head and holds up his bag, "help mommy."

I noticed that Mick is still asleep. I looked back at Isaiah.

"Sure, baby. Let's go to your room so Mickey Mouse can sleep some more." I said and started to stand.

He hoped out of the room and we walked to his room. As we walked to Isaiah's room, I could hear a worried Vince on the house phone. I sent Isaiah on ahead so I could listen more, my sisterly and maternal instincts kicking into overdrive.

"Where is she located at?" He paused for a minute, "Thank you doctor. I will be right there."

"Vinny?! Who's on the phone?" I yelled down, worried.

"Hospital. I need to go. Please watch Leo for me!!" He yelled back.

"What happened? What's wrong? I'll go with you. Nikki and Tommy can watch the kids. Mick is still in bed." I said, rushing down the stairs.

He grabbed his keys and yelled for Nikki to take care the kids and rushed out the door. I rushed to the door, only to be met with Isaiah peering over the upstairs landing.

"Baby, help Uncle Tommy and Uncle Nikki watch Leo. Mommy has to go with Uncle Vince." I rushed out before going out to Vince's car.

I quickly situated in the front seat and looked at Vince.

"Kiri was in a car accident.." Vince said in a low voice.

My face fell.

"I told her.... To be careful. To not be reckless. To not be stupid... What happened?" I began to choke out.

"No one knows. She was unconscious when paramedics arrived."

Tears started streaming down my face. Confusion flooding my brain. I didn't understand how only fifteen minutes could change things so drastically. He drove quietly to the hospital and helped me to the waiting room. I was a silently, crying, pregnant mess. We left in such a hurry that I didn't grab a new mask or my sun hat. Vince set me in a chair carefully while he went to check with the receptionist about Kiri.

Vince came back and sat beside me, "she's in surgery right now.."

My mind was racing. All the things I could have done to prevent this. All the things that could go wrong. Thoughts about how my brother and nephew would be without Kiri. Even thoughts about how lifeless the Mötley family would be without her.

"Do they know the chances of her and the baby surviving?" My voice was so frail and broken I didn't recognize it as mine.

He shook his head and held me close.

"I don't know what I would do without her."

"I don't think any of us do. She's the glue that holds this crazy Mötley family together. Wait... What and how do we tell Nikki?"

He shrugs his shoulder and looks at his hands, "he will be devastated."

"I know, Vin. But right now, you are. You need to go have a cigarette or anything but alcohol and drugs to calm your nerves. You all wound and bound isn't going to help anyone. I love you, and I love her. I'll get you if there's any updates."
