You turn and go into your room. Loki is left in the hallway. He stands, staring at your door for a few moments. He then turns and walks to his room. Upon entering his room he sits at the end of his bed.
" This is madness, Loki." He says to himself
"You have had one conversation with the women. You cannot be pining for her," he says.
He stands up and heads to the door. He has to know if there is truly a connection. He reaches the door but hesitates.
" Maybe, tonight isn't the right time." He turns away from the door and begins to pace. Talking himself in and out of going to see you.
Suddenly there is a knock at the door. Loki's heart begins to race thinking it may be you. After a few moments, he goes to open the door.
To his disappointment, it is only Thor.
"Evening, Brother," he says standing in the doorway "May I come in?" Thor asks.
Loki moved away from the door. Thor steps into the bedroom.
"Quite the upgrade from the glass cell," Thor says, looking around the room
"It's a little too," he pounders " dull, for me," Loki says glaring at Thor.
Thor chuckled,
"Of course it is."
Loki rolls his eyes at the comment. A few moments pass before anything is said,
"Loki, I've come tonight to tell you that a few of us have a mission. Bruce will be remaining behind to help with intel. I was asked to inform you that while we are away you are to keep an eye on Claire." Thor says leaning against the window on the far wall.
"Putting me on babysitting duty? Do I look like a teenage girl?" Loki says sarcastically.
"I am serious Loki, are you able to handle this responsibility?" He asks, standing straight up and stepping closer to Loki.
Loki nods,
"Fine, I will watch the misfit," he snarks.
Thor nods to Loki then brushes past him.
"We should be back tomorrow before your training begins." He says as he leaves the room.
"Oh, swell," Loki says to himself.

Once Thor has left Loki lays on his bed. He stares up at the ceiling. His mind drifts off. He can't seem to get his mind of you. The way your hair falls beneath your shoulders, how you fumble with your fingers when you get nervous. He thinks about your strength and the abilities that you possess. His mind wanders to your lips. How he has caught himself staring at them several times. Your eyes, the deepest of blues he has ever seen. How they welcome you in with warmth and comfort. How they hold so many secrets, ready to be unlocked. What he would give just to be looking into your eyes. He wonders how you have this effect on him. You are merely a Midgardian. He doesn't even know you, yet you have him under some spell that he can't break away from. He continues to think about you, falling asleep with nothing but you on his mind.

Hours later he is awakened by a scream. For a moment he is confused. He has forgotten for a moment that he was no longer in his cell. He sits up. Another scream is heard. Loki rushes to his door and steps into the hall. The scream is coming from your room.
"Claire?" he says opening your door.
He sees you lying on your bed, moving every which way, you continue to scream.
Loki rushes over to you. He climbs on your bed.
"Claire, you need to wake up," he says to you.
He notices your veins are glowing again.
"Claire, wake up now!" He says more persistently.
You sit straight up, startling Loki a bit. You hyperventilate and can't seem to catch your breath.
"Claire," Loki says,
"It is alright, you are safe now." He reaches for your hand. You look at his hand holding yours then look at him.
Even in the dark Loki can see your eyes fill with tears. This time you don't turn away you allow them to stream down your face. You can't say anything.
Loki's eyes change from worried to soft.
He moves up your bed and sits with his back against the headboard. You sit in the middle of your bed, unsure of what he is doing.
He holds out his arm, inviting you to come lay with him. You are hesitant, but crawl up your bed and lay your head on his chest. He places his hand on your shoulder.
You lay there in silence. Allowing the warmth of his body to settle you. You focus on the beating of his heart. You drift back to sleep.
Loki remains sitting on your bed. Refusing to rest to be sure you are alright. He looks down to find that you have fallen asleep. He brushes a strand of hair out of your face gently. He takes in all your beauty.
" Loki, what are you doing?" He whispers to himself.
He lays his head against the headboard and drifts off, careful not to fall completely to sleep; just in case.
